Any recommendations re. BLOG software?
For a non-adult project I thought to use some Blog Software - but gee - the choices are confusing...
I found this great table comparing some (most) of them, but still don't know any better? Anybody here who can recommend a particular piece of software, preferably one which allows for multiple users (not multiple installs), maybe password protected pages, picture upload and thumbnail creation (for idiot posters), and easy to install and maintain (for the idiot behind this keyboard - must be me) From the table mentioned above I sort of tended towards Blog CMS - anybody knows about it (and about installing/running it)? Ah - did I mention 'free' would be a clear advantage? Thanks!

I use www.blogger.com not saying it has all the features you want but within 6 weeks it had a PR4 rating and very usefull to use as part of a hub.

Blogger is the easiest and fastest. Featureless but easy.
Wordpress is the richest and most feature filled. also the most detailed when setting it up. so depends on what you wanna do really, if you want features it'll take you a bit to earn it. With blogger you're ready to go in less than 10 minutes. Wordpress is very good for multiple posters though. Not sure how blogger does with that. |

I actually want to make a site where other people can post their blogs - just all under one TOPIC - as far as I understand Wordpress won't do that!

It's rather unfortunate (and bad business from my point of view) that nowhere do they give a full price for their new software ExpressionEngine... They talk about trial installation, installation cost of full system, and so on, but nowhere about the cost of the full license. It looks like a 100% match to my 'wishlist'.

Is this the pricing info you are looking for?
https://secure.pmachine.com/index.php?ACT=EE 199.95 commercial and 149.95 non commercial It's under purchase, then "select" link by Expression Engine. HTH
