Solicitation for comment – Optimum trade skim for the typical TGP

Obviously a few factors enter into the decision. Like bookmark and SE traffic already in place to feed trades. Are you willing to buy traffic? What type of TGP – FHGs or submitted or mix?

To start lets say you add a TGP site multi niche and you can feed it traffic from your other TGPs or traffic sources. So your bookmarks and SE traffic is minimal.

What would you do with trade skim. How many trades would setup or allow. This assumes that you’re not best best buddies with pichunter or madthumbs and no one is really gonna give you a big trade gift.

To start with I'd go for a link list or two and make sure I ranked high by forcing traffic. I have some contacts that would accept trades, but we're already trading. A circle jerk is fine I guess, but the real goal here is $$. It takes traffic to get there. But can't lose perspective of the end goal. So I'd be looking for fresh traffic sources.

In the begining I'd prolly set to 50-60% to galleries, then tighten with time. Don't forget that most of us loose a percent or two to pay for that free copy of Comus Thumbs and a trading script.

Kinda off topic, but remember you do not have a lot of control with who the trading script group sells traffic too and that can be a source of malware sometimes.

Choker once said (if memory serves correct) that you can get 10 times bookmark/SE traffic if you trade right? Do you agree, did I miss quote him?

Ok, I'm headed out to party. Even at my age that happens on a saturday night once in awhile. Wish gramps luck - LOL.

Trying to get a discussion going on the topic. It can help the newbies and those that have been around awhile too. So let loose with some info.

Sponsor comments welcom too. In your observation what are the winning TGP sites doing right?

I think you're already having one hell of a conversation with yourself. No point in any of us butting in.

Won't argue with the . Never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed. Was trying to get a conversation started that was biz related.

Many webmasters are creating new TGP sites day after day after day that look about the same. That is using CT and Sixzeros method to grow a TGP. So it takes more and more traffic to get conversions. Plus suffers are circle jerked from one site to another often to see the same content that was automatically installed for them, using CT...

Damn talking to myself again. If no one is interested then I'll stop wasting the disk space.
