If there is one thing about this board I like, it's the fact that I always feel the love. You are great gang of porn mongers. Don't ever let anyone telling differently.

And don't you worry. I'm not going anywhere. I may not have my share of the market yet, but I'll keep dicking away at it until I do. I'm very fortunate to have a super supportive wife who gives me a kick in the ass when I'm feeling sorry for myself. She's cute too.

Don't let anybody kid you, it's way harder than it used to be to make decent money in this business.

You'll hear people say "I had a record month last month", yada yada- but that's not the general trend. Overall, things are tougher.

UW, you're definitly not alone in this...tell you the truth, the last three months have been dismal sales wise for me. There's been times before this when I've seen sales just about daily (it wasn't 3, 5 or whatever everyday, but sales none the less), and getting better and it made me feel like I was actually accomplishing something. Now though...I've had the same thaughts about just saying screw this & going back to working non-adult whatever. BUT, even though right now it looks bad, just remember the determination you had before to make it in this business and apply it now. I know it's pretty dis-heartening to see a lack of sales everytime you log on to a sponsor, expecting to see some after building/submitting/whatever & thinking this new site/project will definitly bring in sales. Been going through that phase recently and yes, it sucks to feel that way.

Hey, who knows, next month may start an upward trend of kick ass sales and all. But yeah, my wife is very supportive towards me in this also and kicks my ass just as hard whenever I start thinking about giving all this up. It's been a pretty long path to travel and there's aways to go yet...but why give up after coming all this way?

All you can do is keep plugging away. When I first started, I went about 6 months without making a penny. Of course, I didn't have any idea that I could make money After my first check, I knew this was the only business I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So far, So good...

In the book "Think and Grown Rich", Napoleon Hill tells a true story about R.U. Darby.

An uncle of his had caught gold fever back in the gold rush days. He staked a claim and worked with lust for gold. After a few weeks of labor he was rewarded with some shiny ore. He needed machinery to bring the ore to the surface. He covered up his mine and went back home to raise the money for machinery from friends, relatives and neighbors. Mr Darby and his uncle returned to the mine with the needed equipment and began to work.

The first car of ore was mined and shipped to a smelter, proving they had one of the richest mines in Colorado. A few more cars of that ore would clear their debts, then would come the big killing in profits.

Down went the drills, up went their hopes. Then something happened, the vein of gold disappeared! They drilled on, desperately trying to pick up that vein again, but to no avial. Finally they decided to quit.

They sold the machinery to a junk man for a few hundred dollars and took the train back home.

Some junk men are dumb, but not this one. He called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating. The engineer advised that the project had failed, because the owners where not familiar with "Fault Lines". His calculations showed that the vein would be found JUST THREE FEET FROM WHERE THE DARBY'S HAD STOPPED.

The "junk" man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine.

R.U. Darby later went on to sell millions in life insurance, of course, because he learned not to take no for an answer, and not to stop three feet before the gold...

Hey Ronnie,

That's a great story. Thanks for sharing, it gives us all a valuable lesson. Don't stop building, sooner or later, you gotta make some money at it.

I can't believe this thread is still alive.

I noticed that no one has stepped up and offered me a company car yet though.

Any one that has been in this business for any amount of time, I think would agree, often it can come down to one thing that ends up working very well. And pushing on till something does work. Going past the point of wanting to quiting.

But of course, many people cant go past that point. I would be the first to admit, it can be difficult, even harder when things are not going well in the first place.

Most people find it much easier to give up and have the security of working for some one else. Which most likely wont make them rich..
