Spain was the better team tonight but I think Russia did not play their own game..... but WTF, it was Spain they had to play against.

Ok first of all GG spain, they deserved to win! Nice match indeed and it's so great to see quality football once again!

The thing I liked best about this edition was that FINALLY all the jerkoffs went home, and those that PLAYED FOOTBALL went trough! No matter how big their names, they got it up their asses and were sent back to their mommas! Football prevailed! That's what I like to see!!!

Thank you holland, thank you turkey, thank you russia! You guys were a surprise and a delight to watch! Russian footbal is going to get fucking wings after this tournament, you mark my words! You will see russian players everywhere and russian teams in the champions league in a few short years!

Also, thank you spain, thank you portugal and why not, thank you germany! You did your jobs right and were no less entertaining!

Teams that compete against each other in the groups should never, NEVER EVER be allowed to meet again before the final!
Just imagine the tremendous moral advantage spain had over russia in this semifinal match! They had beaten them 2 weeks ago 4-1, they were starting the game from a whoooole different level. How the fuck can this be permitted? Two teams to play again unelss there's no other choice??? This IS NOT what we want to see! We don't want the same games twice, thank you very much!

Well, I guess they preferred playing for their homeland instead for their fatherland - you have similar situation in other national teams too... near a half of French players are from Senegal.

There sure were some great "near misses" though. Score could have easily been 3-0, 3-1 or even 4-1. But the 1-0 score did keep that "on the edge of your seat" feeling going throughout the rest of the game, especially towards the end.

Spain played great. Congrats to them on the fine win. They definitely looked like champions in several of the games they played in this tournament.

Actually they did win once more, in 1964, which was the second edition of the european championship, hosted in... U guessed it, spain

They beat the Russians 2-1 in the final then (but the soviet union was way better way then - they had won the first edition).
