trouble with video

I'm still trying to make this movie thing work lol...

the problem I have is that when you view the site in IE, the videos stall at the first frame. If I click the second time, however, they play through ok. In Firefox, they're fine the first click.

I have uploaded the files on two different FTP programs, I've split them with 3 different programs, and all I have is a massive headache

I could save them in Windows Movie Maker as wmv files, but they come out twice the size as the mpgs. I'm new at video so I was trying to keep it simple. This just sucks.

Does anyone have any ideas?
