Is Advanced Submitter Worth The $100

Just asking those who've used it...I've never used a "submit assist" program but I'm getting the feeling that I'll need one to turn my galleries into real revenues. Opinions?

Definitely, it makes submitting galleries much more easier and much more quicker.

I just bought Chamelon Submitter, and used it for a few hours now. I must say, however, that Chameleon Submitter is much better (updated db, working OCR, thumb cropper, etc.)

I haven't tried the Chamelon submitter yet, but I work just fine with AS. To me it is very much worth the $100.

Have you looked at http://www.adamsubmitter.com/ . It is free. If you decide to use it send me a pm and I will share something with you that will save you loads of setup time.

At one time TGP Assistant was the best out there, but it is no longer available. Since I was involved in the project, I tried most of the competition. Of course that was a couple of years ago and things change.

Yes, I'm using it since 3 years myself, and it's def. worth it's money, and you can submit to LinkLists and LinkDumps too (working on the DBs for that)

Advancedsubmitter was the first program that used OCR as far as I know, and the next Version will have a thumb cropper included too. And the Databases at http://updates.advancedsubmitter.com are for sure the most complete

That's the reason I'm leaning towards Advanced instead of Chameleon...Advanced seems to be a client for my computer, and Chameleon looks like it's web based and I'm just too paranoid to be comfortable uploading my partner info into someone's database.

True, but for some odd reason, the OCR recognition in AS doesn't work at all (it inputs the wrong code in the code form, and I have to repeatedly erase it and manually enter in the correct one).

The OCR trainer is confusing too, many people have complained about not being able to use it properly on the AS forums.

Chameleon is client-based (just like AS) -- Nothing is hosted on Chameleon's server.

You must be confused about the db, Chameleon gives its members a weekly-updated db list for you to use. It's not hosted on their servers or anything.

Thanks for clearing that up Joe...some of the sales text is a bit unclear on that issue

Long run you'll do better with Advanced as its pretty damn flexible with whatever you want to do. Also, umm, no database given by any of the programs are worth it really. If you want to waste your time submitting to 2000 tgps, be my guest, but really quality over quantity.

Making your own database is time consuming, but in the long run well worth it. Once you get the hang of AS you'll be able to put together the database pretty quickly.

This is just me, but I found most of my sites in my custom-made AS database were already in the Chameleon db.

But as Blue said, I would take the time to make a custom db.

If you want a more hands-on approach, get AS. If you want a more laid-back approach with everything auto, get Chameleon.

You can try out my trained ocrdata.ocr file if you want, it has ~600 templates and works for ~95% of the codes. Most likley we're going to add it to the next Version of Advancedsubmitter anyway, but if you hit me up (see Sig) then you can have it beforehand

I don't completly agree with you here, when I try out a new Niche, or built some completly new galleries I always submit to as many Sites as I can for ~1-2 months, and then I order the entire Database by traffic I've received from the Sites, so I'm able to submit to the most important first (incl. Partner Accounts), and to the less important later on or none at all if I'm lazy.
So I agree that a bit of customization is quite good, but building the entire Database for Advancedsubmitter again from scratch is a waste of time IMHO

Not really and it doesn't take that long to create. I only submit to 90 tgps each day and I get 100k in hits from them, I'm not wading through 4000 to see which ones work and which ones don't. It's pretty easy to figure out by reading forums which tgp's are worth submitting to and then you actively pursue accounts, etc, from those tgp's.

Someone just starting out, sure, the database saves you some time, but MadMax isn't a noob...so I'm not treating him as one, lol. He probably has a lot partner accounts already and if he asked around (in pm's not on main forums), I'm sure people could recommend him or at least point him to the right tgps to submit to or get partner accounts with.

I think it generally depends how you value your time, building a costum database and doing some research on good Sites as a Advancedsubmitter and TGP Newbie also takes at least a few weeks if done properly. But you're right, in the end it depends how experienced someone is.

I've decided to try out advanced submitter, and I'll see how things go. One way or another it should pay for itself, and once I figure out all the ins and outs of the interface I think it will be cool. Thanks for all the advice everyone

It takes time, that's true, but anything worth doing right takes time, lol. It took me close to a month to get a list that was valuable to me. Took me close to 2 months to get the partner accounts that I wanted. Would I do it all again, hell yeah, lol, was well worth the effort I put into it
