Free hosted sites for link lists???

Figured this would be a good place to ask this question.

What would you like to see on free hosted free sites for link lists?

Number and size of pics, number of galleries, on it's on domain, etc, etc, etc....

Danielle - Oddly enough, you did hit on something that a lot of sponsors probably don't think aobut & that's the domain that the hosted sites & galeries are on - some of them are worse than using the sponsor's program domain when it comes to looking at the URL & wondering if the surfer would click on it (if there was no mouseover) I like ot see surfer friendly domains & hell, even use the domains that the paysite is on (or some variation of that if you can't put them on that same domain)

Basic free sites are pretty much what I'm looking for - warning page leads to main page leads to 2 gallery pages of 10 pics each (10/page is the minimum with most link lists - you can go over this if you need to depending on the design of the galleries)

I'm not really concerned with seeing my recip on there, but - and I don't mean to hijack the thread either - LOL - Outback Cash just added a feature where youc an add your own recips to the galeries & free sites if you wanted them on there, which is a nice little benefit

The sites should also have a theme to them and - maybe most important these days in the world of outsourcing crap - A ACTUAL NAME FOR THE SITE! I can't tell you how many sponsor's are clueless to this, probably because they only know hosted galleries, which don't need to have a "site name".

You should also steer away from using the same template over & over & over & over - if you're gonna release 10 hosted free sites a week, have 10 different templates & use tem once a week to keep things looking fresh

GG pretty much said it all. And the recip thing is a GREAT idea. I also agree with the domain thing. I hate it when they are just some weird ass url with a million characters and numbers in them.

GG hit on most topics that I was looking for however, I'm just gonna rattle off my list.

2-3 galleries of 10-15 pics each.

150x150 sized thumbnails (larger saves bandwidth and looks better)

Site NAMES and DESCRPTIONS that make sense

Categorized by CATEGORY and crosscategorized by the site its promoting

Personalized Ads that are related to the content promoting an appropriate site. (For example if its "Teen Marissa's Playhouse" and the content features Marissa, if the ads feature Marissa that's an extra added bonus)

Personalized pages that include the TITLE of the site in nice big bold obvious letters

No TEMPLATES! Sites that look the same as the last one is bad. Different colors, different ads, different layouts. Even if you guys think You've hit THE best template in the world, variety is important.

A large number of sites. 10 is not enough. 20 isnt either! Keep them coming.

Make more sites every week. Hire a guy who does nothing but build galleries and sites for you. Make sure he cranks out the sites. I hear MML does great FHS work

Do NOT, i repeat do NOT, think that a "free site" is a page that links to two of your free hosted galleries! This is a ripoff! Especialy when the two galleries contain different content! I dont know if other people agree with this but, its a pet peeve of mine. It just REEKS of laziness. Surfers want ONE set per site, of the same person. If they like the content, they want 20-30 pictures, not 10!

Lots of Text and Lots of Graphics. Variety again is important. Some ads should use exclusively text, others should use mostly graphics. Let one gallery sell on words, the other sell on nice graphics. This allows you to effect surfers that are effected by both

Okay, I am a little confused, and need to clarify this as I am soon to branch out from TGP galleries to free sites.

If I am understanding you correctly, Boogie, if I build a free site promoting a BDSM sponsor, and say, I have 2 sets of content (paid content, if it matters) of chicks in a cage....

You are saying it is not okay to use content set #1 on gallery one and content set #2 on gallery two?

If that is accurate, I am going to run into problems, as some of the content sets I have purchased aren't big enough to give me 20 pics of the same model. I have tended to purchase smaller sets that showed variety within the set, rather than huge sets where the chick moves her arms two inches in each pic.

selena - Boogie was just giving his opinion of what is better for free hosted sites. 1 set of pics in the first gallery, and a different set of pics in the second gallery is fine. Just make sure that both sets are of the same thing. (blowjobs, anal, or whatever)

Yeah its mostly personal preference, but, when applicable try to make it 20 pics from the same set. Series pics make sales.

Hmmmm, I never thought of it from a surfers clicking point of view. I was looking at it from a webmaster seeing the domain, and checking it out and from a SE spiders point of view. Anyone linking to mine, feel free to put a surfer friendly mouse over on my links. Just wasn't looking at it from the right point of view.

A unique name (not the paysite name) and description per free site is very important IMO and where most sponsors fail.

While descriptions are probably a good thing for some people, I always use my own anyway, as it's my site & the descriptions have to have a similar feel to them.

Back on topic: I would like to give the webmasters on / off html pages and maybe even offer big pic linking to sponsor - then let the LL owner choose the configuration to suit their rules or allow them to bend them seeing as it's their own traffic.

Back in my days of free site building, I always have found that a considerable number of sales come from html pages with the big pic or video. If the surfer sees something that they want to see more of - you might as well make it as easy as possible for them to get there.

This is too complex for the average newbler. You would need to write a serious script to generate every possible configuration of choices. If not, webmasters would try and piece it together themselves, make mistakes, the links would wind up broken, and the you would get slammed on the boards for doing things you clearly never meant to do.

If you're capable of writing the coding to accomplish the use of that many variables then why the hell not.

As an example - Medium Pimpin has a number of options for their hosted gals - their link creation tool for wms makes it easy to get the code right.
