Anyone know ilsoph from thinkreel.com?
Posted this here because it does have to do with a business deal. Also figured might get a quicker reply since there seems to be more people in this section
Well first of all I'm talking to someone about a possible website deal. He said that I could ask ilsoph from thinkreel.com because he sold him a website before and he could vouch for him. So I was just curious if anyone here might know him? Since I've never chatted on that board any myself. I'm interested in the website but I just don't feel to comfortable on the best way to work out a way to make the deal. He suggested, I prefer bank wire because of speed and cost. and for your assurance is we write up a sales letter outlining details... IE you buyer me seller upon receipt of wire site becomes yours I sign it and attach a copy of my driverse license....I don't put my number because it can be used for identy theft BUT it's an official ID with pic, and matching signature and it matches my registered owner information Not sure what you guys think about this because I'm really not use to doing deals like this and as far as getting ilsoph to vouch for him I would really feel more comfortable if there was a couple of people on here that might could vouch for him (ilsoph)....lol Only thing I know about him (ilsoph) is that he does have 621 posts at thinkreel.com other than that I have no clue or info about him.... Thanks for any help on this guys and girls |

if they are insisting on doing it a way that you are not comfortable doing it, then don't do it or try to work it so that you are comfortable with it, if they still insist I would walk away... and as for having a stranger vouch for another stranger, that wouldn't be a good reason for me to trust somebody.... just my 2 cents

I've never heard of any of them, so kinky's post makes a lot of sense to me.

K, thanks for the replies Kinky and GG.
Yeah I think I'll just walk away from the deal as well. Was actually plaining on doing that before reading these replies. I think I'll just worry more about trying to build my own sites up instead of taking this route anyway. I know the guy may be trust worthy but at the same time I just don't know for sure if he is or not and I just don't feel like risking it Anyway thanks again for the replies. |

ilsoph submits to my MGP. Has real good galleries and I see him listed on other major TGPs quite often. Other than that, I don't know anything about him.

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

I know him.
I met him personally in Vegas at the MGP dinner and I trade some traffic with him, etc. He's a very cool guy and you can trust him for sure. |

sorry - didn't see this post until just now... was on vacation for the past few weeks.. thx to mike for pointing it out for me..
i see it looks like the deal is dead, but here's the advice i'd've given even if you were buying a site from my best friend.. handle everything through escrow.. protect your ass.. if u can, have a mutual friend act as escrow.. if not, use a site/service which can check DNS resolution.. ps. thx to santeria and sly for vouching for me.. pps. hello board.. ;-) |
