I think it's very cool that 60 year old men in tight pants are still at it!! I saw them way back in the 70's never have forgot it. They may be getting old but they rock and I say way to go!! I'm "older" but still love my rock-n-roll

A lot can change in a decade or 2 and I want to remember them as the skinny, stoned out rockers of the past so I will make no attempt to see them. Think about the young Elvis vs. the Fat Elvis.
Hats off to them though and I hope they have a great time touring. |

I don't see the tour schedule but I heard on the radio station that they are coming to Ottawa. I never saw them and probably won't this time neither.

Saw them at SARS-Aid or whatever it was called when they came to Toronto. It really is time for them to hang it up.

You've got to remember that back in the 60's, at least in the UK, it was "The Beatles" or "The Stones". They ARE the music of a divided generation. And subsequent generations have latched on.
The fact that they're still up for any kind of tour is amazing enough (don't ask me to do a tour). Look at second-rate bands like Aerosmith and Kiss - they burned out years ago. Cissies. The Stones still deliver. Rock on. |

Nothing funnier than the ridiculous faces you people make mid-coitus
|
Wonder if they'll have automatic wheelchairs or if they will just rolling themselves on stage.
actually they put on a pretty good show.. or they did .. i saw a few of them.. steel wheels, voodoo lounge.. let it bleed. The one in i think 1977 or 78 sometime around there with Bob Marley as the opening act was da bomb.. or at least what i remember of it.. |rasta| |

I just heard we've got the Allman Bros and Lynyrd Skynyrd coming to Jackson (cant beleive the shit we get here) - ought to be interesting to see all the replacement band members trying to play the old songs
Oh yeah - forgot to mention - I was in the Beatles camp in the 60s until Hendrix came along - then when he did Day Tripper with them I was sold forever Here's What It Sounds Like |

I saw them open up in DC about 10 years ago for their steal wheels tour. I was expecting a bunch of old guys not doing much. TO be honest. Best rock show i saw in my life. They came out with "start me up" Mic stated after, "Not bad for a bunch of old gezzers" They did not take a break. My friend promissed to light up another bone during the break which never came and neather did the bone. 3 hours stright rocking. They converted me. I truly think they are the greatest rock band of all time. THink of all the hits, and how long they have been playing? I'm sure there are people here who weren't even born when these guys were tossing tv sets out hotel windows. Seriously a good time no matter what age these gandpa's are.

LOL - I was definitely born when they were young'uns - and Ive always liked the energy they and a few other bands like them had - the Beach Boys come to mind as they would always give free concerts in Wash DC at the Washington Monument on the 4th of July (thats where I grew up and we had a rockin time in the 60s with the Moritoriums and Peace marches) and it was a smoked out weekend every year - that and Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes were a fantastic rocking show everytime.
