Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
I'm sure that my review of this movie will be in line with most others.
Too long. Hard to follow at times. First one was (much) better. Also, it's a part one of two just on this particular storyline even though this is the 2nd in the "Pirates" series.

My daughter and one of my sons stated they liked it but was a bit long.
On the other hand wife and I visited D-land to check out the updates to the ride. They added Barbosa, Davey Jones in a fog mist and 3 Jack Sparrows within the ride. Music is changed a bit and characters say Sparrows name about a dozen times throughout. After what seems like 30 years of seeing and hearing it one way it is a bit strange to see/hear the change. |

My wife didn't like the first one so not much chance of me seeing it until it's out on DVD but I heard it's good. It also seems to be bringing in the bucks! |

I've always wondered if there was a god. And now I know there is -- and it's me
|
The first one was great, but this one was only a transition movie for the third one which kinda turned me off a little. The next one will be the best out of them all but I still think they could have put a little more effort into this one to give the people at least there money worth.
I could have waited for the DVD |

Rock stars ... is there anything they don't know?
|
Doesn't matter much how long it is I fall asleep after the first ten minutes or so anyhow. I've seen the beginning of the last 20 movies I've watched. LOL

feeling a bit better

saw it myself on opening night - it was way too long. It built up nicely but left you hanging at the end - from what I hear, number three in the trilogy is already shot so I guess this is just another Matrix as far as a marketing ploy is concerned.

Havent seen it yet, waiting for the dvd Pirates part 1 is one of my all time favorites though. I love the line "You better start believing in ghost stories Ms Turner... youre in one!" haha! that ruled great writing in the first one. Bad reviews from the board but I still cant wait to see it.
Cheers KK

Well I loved the hell out of it! Saw it Wed, and I can't wait for the 3rd. The only part I thought was a bit "long" was when they were on that wheel thing. I agree with Venice, well worth the special effects.
I heard Depp based his character loosely on Keith Richards. Personally I think the way he talks is Keith Richards, the way he walked was Hunter Thompson, lol. I also heard Keith Richards is playing his father in the 3rd movie, which should be interesting.
