BIG changes at CyberAge AVS!! - Page 3

fetish1...a few of us have already removed AVS sites from our LLs...some are just removing the CA sites. My plan is to wait and see which other AVS programs follow suit and the ones that are still standing and not jacking around their WMs, will get added back in to the LL.

Thanks, thats what I was hoping...that this whole to-do would eventually get past us all and we'd see who is left in the game. This is unfortunate, and granted I am by no means thrilled by it, but it's another change in the biz, isn't the first, and definately won't be the last LOL

Stuveltje, see it from this angle.....if you build only free sites you miuss out on the money the avs sites make and if ya build only avs sites you miss out on the fre site money...so I do both

its easy to convert your free site to a avs site.....and the internal traffic from the avs own linklist sells better than any other free site linklist, cause the surfers there have already pulled out the plastic.....so make both, they make money

In the early 90's we developed them for the non-adult side. Then figured they could be revamped as temp fix on the adult side (we were known as Adult Check on the Adult side) but figured it was just a temporary thing that would be abandoned in a few years. None of us thought it would last past 97-98 so we sold out.

I'm getting to tired to set up a new system; if I were in my 20's it would be a simple task to create a new and better system.

So you all seriously think that AVS as a concept will die for good now?

I'd like to know what you all think before I start to just swap the CA scripts for another AVS script. Maybe swap the script page for a FPA or something. My AVS sites on seperate domains get quite some SE traffic... I'd hate to see that go to waste.

Just remove the signup page and operate them as free sites. Simple fix.

well... some of my AVS sites have 1000+ pics and movies on them. I'd hate just give all that away... its not Christmas yet

If a particular site has 1,000 of YOUR pics break it up into 50 free sites

Don't get me wrong mate... I value any oppinion on what to do

Right now I'm just too irritated over this hole AVS deal. I'd wish they wake up and put CA back to the way it was before. I know thats not going to happen so a lot of work is about to go on the to-do list because of this.
I just want to be reasonably sure which way the wind blows before I start to do major changes... and breaking my huge sites up into small free sites seems like a major task. Maybe I just need to sleep on it

Why not just leave what you have and start something different.

The changes made may make it not worth creating more but your old site should still make sales if they were before.

Maybe I am not looking at this the same way others are...I agree what has happened stinks, and upsells are gonna be a bitch. I sell avs memberships. So I am not ready to tear my sites apart and lose those sales too when it's not necessary. Yet anyway. Perhaps things will continue to go on the decline for avs and we will see them come to an end, but at this point, there is still money to be made off the sites, and I can work on other things instead of backtracking to rebuild/take down all the avs I currently have up. The stench from this will fade just as the globill issue did, just as the $750 Visa charge did, and so many other things in the past....If cyberage had totally shut down I could see the rush to start ripping things apart, now imho it just means some adjusting. Ok don't shoot me for not getting on the BAN CA band wagon LOL Just my 2 cents on the whole thing.

DO NOT change avs sites to freesites without huge ass modifications. One is removing most of the content. Two is looking at where you get traffic from and if you can do fpa's and such. There is much modification to be done.

Why would it be a good idea to even leave 30 pictures on a free site? You should have very few freesites with 30 pictures feeding a hub full of freesites with beautiful ads and a few (like 2) samples... link it all well...

I cannot believe that everyone wants to build build build and NEVER renew and review what they have already. Way less effort to review and update sponsors and make something out of something then to start all over as things change.

Maybe this is the first time you all have even considered this? I dunno but I have done this kind of thing 2 times a year. I always ask what exactly is in it for me in every affiliate situation.

Ask yourself that too. There was already one person who said "so what about the changes" he sends his own traffic. Bottom line is avs no longer sends you traffic no matter if it is cyberage or anyone else. Your content boosts their paysite content... full stop.

A Hookers Porn List is undergoing major changes and when they are complete will be pulling all Cyberage sites... UGAS will be next when they have made those changes too being as they are part of TTI

However I will gladly accept all SexPicturesPass sites along with a few others who are still sending me good hits and sales

It has always been a way with me that to diversify is the way to go.... I will continue to work that way especially when it comes to making $$$

Gaymanlinks.com and MMF-Sex.com I will be removing Cyberage site from those lists also later today during my updates....

I'll have to frequent the boards more often, but I've had my head buried in work and we're packing to move....

I'll be changing all my cyberage sites over to SPP in the coming week - got to squeeze that onto my to do list but it shouln't take long and I'm sure once Cyberage starts receiving emails letting them know that webmasters are pulling their sites they may start to feel a little pressure.
