Pride Bucks

I signed up with these guys over the weekend... today I get an email from them...

I've been at this since 2001 and have never had any issue with any sponsor

How do you expect me to find "Steven Sheaffer" among the 2500 spams I get a day... pure luck I found the email... change it to Pride Bucks

So, Steven...

First of all, let me add a bit to this - "and have never had any issue with any sponsor" - apart from the ones who changed from CCbill to Epoch to Verotel to MPA to NATS and didn't bother telling me, apart from the ones who changed bank accounts and told me not to bank their cheques 2 days after I had already banked them and then refused to even entertain the idea of paying the bank fees I was charged as a result, apart from the sponsors who went belly up and took my money with them, apart from the sponsors who closed sites and redirected my traffic somewhere else, apart from the sponsors who sold their sites to another program and didn't tell me...

I really could not be bothered bothering other sponsors to get you to believe that I'm not a crook... So, I'll find someone else to promote thanks

Unless of course you can email me the contact details of other webmasters who can vouch for the fact you pay on time and that your cheques don't bounce

I wonder why your email was considered spam?

You pasted only the text you sent, but what's your signature look like in your outgoing mail?
I was having problems myself with my own ISP at one time because the emails being sent had too many URLs for my own ISP's liking. They weren't spam at all though.

As for the account verification... seems a bit much. Australia isn't typically on any watch lists.

No sig... I assume it's because I used the word SPAM in my email... maybe it was the 2 urls and 3 contact numbers in his sig that tripped it... that would be pretty funny

I signed up for cheque not epassporte payments too...

I may have been quiet for some time - but many of the old hands know me...

you know, with all the fraud out there, I really dont find it too bad an issue asking for references?

PrideBucks is a solid company, and maybe this is just one reason why?

Thanks for your interest in PrideBucks. It appears there was one thing on your details that triggered one of our 'red flags'. For clarification, it was not your country.

Whenever this happens we request additional information / references that scammers/fraudsters would not provide. As you can imagine, we can not disclose publicly what triggers we look at as red flags. You may write to me at joe at pridebucks.com if you would like an explanation what it was in your situation.

Nonetheless, it sounds like you are recognized in the industry, So I have enabled your PrideBucks account.

On the other topic, i'll look into the spam issue. Though as you can imagine if you get 2500 spams, we get a lot more. So occassionally, a valid email may get tossed out. Bottom line whether its fraud or spam..its all a numbers game.

It would be worthwhile having your reps add Pride Bucks to their email name - it really was dumb luck that I spotted the email... and I'd have been devastated if the 7 clicks a year I'll be sending had been going into a black hole

I'll email you now (subject Wazza The Evil Aussie) - I've got a rough idea what it was that got me rainbow flagged but it would be nice to know
