Lightbulb blogsearch.google.com

Are you getting traffic from it?

I just discovered I have some blogs nicely positioned there but I don't see much traffic from it. I'm using AwStats ... could it be because the traffic comming from http://blogsearch.google.com is listed under Google ?

Quick update: even if the traffic comming from http://blogsearch.google.com is counted by AwStats as comming from Google, I'm starting to believe it is not used by many people, since the keywords I rank for are competitive but the traffic is really low.

I get very little traffic from it, or any other blogsearchengine.. I have a dozen rss feeds being pulled by those SE's, but not really worth the effort

Blogsearch is already polluted with scammers and spammers...

http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsea...G=Search+Blogs

It is truly insane to see what Google will index.

I checked that link Alex, you're talking about those that use your "findpics" term. I have to agree, that's a big bad of Google generally not something new with blogsearch.google.com

What makes me think it's useless ( at least for now ) is that I have 2 blogs that rank #1 for extremely competitive terms but the traffic is pretty much non-existent.

It is a subsection of google, and they sure are not pushing it.

Spam is pretty much killing Google, and blogsearch just makes it even more obvious.

For the moment Yahoo! didn't come up with such an idea of creating a new search service for blogs only, but I can say that after the last update Yahoo!'s SERPs look extremely bad, for many terms I keep under observation, up to 8 of the first 10 results are pure spam and blogs aren't ranking the way they used to rank because of the freshness of content and RSS feeds.

I noticed that in my stats too. I'm coming up #1 (today) for my biggest search term but the traffic coming through is still very minor.

It usually sorts itself out over time, just have to wait it out.
