Help With Uploading To Tube/Clip Sites

A coworker asked if I knew of a way to speed up the process of uploading movies to tube & clip sites. The movies files that she's uploading by hand are from the members area of our sites, so she's been downloading them to her machine & then uploading them to the sites. Each site does have an option where you can simply put the URL of the movie in & it will upload it for you, but since they're in the members area, that don't work.

I did try the old UN/PW in the URL trick:
http://username:password@example.com/members/movie.mp4
But that no longer works with these fancy new password forms.

One option that did come to mind would be to copy the movie to an unprotected directory on the domain, but:
A: That'd eat up a lot of hard drive space
B: I don't think you can copy & paste a file via FTP and I really don't want to have to bother the host every time we upload a new scene.

Can anyone thing of other options?
