Traffic and conversion numbers for blogs?

My only experience with adult has been in the world of TGPs and skimmed traffic - huge numbers and horible conversions. I'm about to start a few blogs and I'm wondering what kind of traffic numbers I should consider normal? About how long did it take for the SE to pick up on your site and how much time does it take to get a blog fairly well established with good link partners and such?

I'm assuming the conversion ratios are much better than in TGP land.

Depends one what kind of traffic you feed it.

It would be difficult to predict how much traffic or conversions you'd get since that all depends on a number of factors - SEO, keywords, the niche, the sponsor, etc. And as ronnie said, what kind of traffic you can feed to your blog.

I'd say from what I've read that 100 daily uniques would be the minimum for a successful blog and some would say 1k uniques a day is their idea of an average blog. It depends on what you consider a success.

Conversion seems to better with blogs.

Not if you feed it TGP traffic. Like has been said, it's hard to say what you should get both traffic and conversions but traffic will be substantially lower and conversions substantially better than with your TGP.

As been said in this thread, here are the basic factors.

1) Where your traffic came from. feeding it circle jerk traffic? expect low figures.

Feeding it TGP traffic? Why send people who want to view ONLY THUMBS to a site they have to read? low figures

SE traffic = good
other blogs = good
targeted traffic from sites they had to READ at = great

bring in readers, make good sales. bring in freeloading pic skimmers, make bad sales.

simple

Indeed. It is difficult to stir interest in the litrerary aspect that many blogs desire to convey when the surfer has his dick in one hand and the lube in the other coming from a sex crazed TGP.|shocking|

perhaps when they have their senses about them they would be interested in the more intellectual aspects of online porn like blogs.
