Sunday the start of the week... or is it?

Noticed today in Nifty Stats that I could define the week as 'American' (Sunday first) or 'EU' (Monday first).

I always thought the week started on Monday.
Sunday is the last day of the week IMO.

I didn't even know there about the 'American' style week.

Anyone else?

Been in a funk after all the electrical work as the cost was a HUGE kick in the crotch. Looking on the bright side, at least I can run the AC again.

I was always taught that Sunday was the 1st day of the week, but it varies around here, too. Like NYS Unemployment runs Mon-Sun, but pretty much every workplace I've ever dealt with is Sun-Sat

Personally, I use the 7 Days option on Google's Calendar, so every day is the 1st day

I'm awake & feel decent after yesterday's Out Of The Darkness Walk, which was, aside from the rain, a very successful event - thanks again to all that donated

It's time for some football

I have to admit, it's nice to be excited about my beloved Bills for the 1st time in about 5 years.

Sunday starts the week. Saturday ends the week. That's why they're called weekends.

Just back from the Welsh borders (England side) visiting my father.

He has not been able to use his mobile 'phone for a few weeks. He tried using another company's sim in a locked 'phone. It did not work (obviously) and when he put the original sim back in, that did not work either. He thought that they had cut him off for trying to use another company's sim. It did not make sense to me, so I looked at it for him....The problem was - his battery needed recharging!

My wall calendar agrees with you, but my desk calendar says M T W T F S S ! I think is is because the one on the wall is a "bought from a shop" calendar, but the one on my desk is a "business freebie" calendar, and the business week starts on Monday!

I'd go with the EU calendar except soon the EU weekend will be Friday.

Yeah, but the 7th day is Saturday. Sunday was the 1st day, the day He began creating everything. Biblically the week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday, because God worked Sunday to Friday then rested on Saturday.
