Xenu's Link Sleuth Replacement

I use Xenu's Link Sleuth to check for broken links. It does check external links but does not go deep enough. I need something that will check http://externallink.com, http://externallink.com/main.html , http://externallink.com/gallery1.html, http://externallink.com/gallery2.html from a list of links.

Hmm. Last I used Xenu I recall being able to specify how deep it searched. I haven't used it in quite a while though.

I did a search on goog for link checker and maybe you can use this:

http://www.elsop.com/linkscan/

Is this for your own hosted galleries?

No, but it is to do with HFS. I have discovered that a few sponsors are already playing tricks with HFS. Such as having the warning page and main page display properly and then having broken links to the gallery pages. Also redirects are getting pretty common. I have over 4000 HFS links I need to check all the way thru. The links to these are on one html but Xenu stops checking external links at the index page.

Thanks for the goggle search

might want to check out www.linkwalker.com

I haven't paid for their services but every once in a while they crawl my sites and send me free reports as a sales come-on, but the reports always have genuine broken links. They do customized pricing so I don't know how hard they'd hit you.

MadMax, note sure if it's same company sends me spam emails promoting their software (I delete it instanly so don't really know the name) but I wouldn't deal with company that offers 'A guaranteed Top 10 ranking in Google or Yahoo!'
I also know this says shit but it's really hard to keep PR0 thesedays... (unless you are scammer)
---EDIT

yep, it seems same company.. checking whois
Blacklist Status: Listed (spam)

Tried This?

Try this:
Start Xenu, Options >> Preferences >> Maximum level

It has to be more than 1

Hope that helps

Hmm...guess that's what I get for posting before I check something out more thoroughly. The only contact I've ever had with them was in regards to their link checker...didn't realize they had so much BS going on. |shocking|
