How to Get Submissions to my LL
I have opened Gay Lovers Club Link List a few weeks ago and the problem is i am not getting any submissions..
I am thinking of link exchanges on submit page but not sure if that will really work... I would like to hear your suggestions... Thanks

Trading submits has helped me. Also getting added on the adult webmaster resource sites on the net. And of course GG&J traffic resource page is a great place to get lsited.

Well, you need to talk to your submitters and prospective submitters, and tell them why it's a good deal to submit to you. That, of course, presumes that you have set up your system so that it _is_ a good deal to submit to you.
You should have about a thousand freesites of your own already listed, and those freesites should all be sending a good percentage of their traffic back to your list, for example. The benefit you then offer your submitters is this flow of traffic. In that way you've structured your system so that it looks like a good deal to sub to your list. If you are just going to put up a new linklist, you have to be clear about the advantages of subbing to you, and possibly offer special benefits to your best submitters. So, again, talk to your submitters. |

You have VERY few sites listed there. Most people won't even find you and if they do they may not bother because they are linking to you with LITTLE chance of getting any hits back. Some people starting out (just to get some links up and listed) will offer on adult boards to let people submit with no recip required until they have a decent amount of links on their list. That way you fill it up with links and if they start seeing traffic they will continue to submit to ya.
Just an idea...

1. Use the spam boards on all the WM boards to announce your site (this worked well for me a couple of years back for a TGP). But only use the boards that are for spam, spamming the "non-spam" boards will piss off other members of the board and get you on a lot of blacklists.
2. If you need lots of submits, why do you have the rule "No more than 1 submit per webmaster during 24 hours."? Wait until you have plenty of submissions before adding this. 3. If you have been reading recent threads on this board you will be aware that a lot of WMs take extreme exception to sites in bad English, so check yours through carefully (eg. "Free e-mail addresses don't allowed"). 4. If you can afford it, most WM boards sell advertising. But be aware this is "dead money" (set up costs). A few years ago I won some free advertising on a now defunct WM site, I used it to push a link list and TGP site, it got me quite a few submitters. In the case of your site, probably best to use the board aimed at gay webmasters. |

Well...here is my two bits...hehe...
First, congrats on wanting to work a LL/directory...and second, I will try not to get too wordy but its good advice. It's no lie that working a LL is a lot of work and this is something most will discover if they are serious about it. You have to start from somewhere and not everyone can open doors with 1000's of links in place. Most importantly, this is a business that doesn't happen over night unless you have strong connections so be prepared to work long hours and don't lose faith as this is the one enemy of a LL going down. Here are some ideas for you
lol...ok...thats a start...there are other methods too which I am sure others will help out I know of a couple sites you might want to link trade with: one is www.theboyzlist.com (member here at GG&Jim under theboyzlist ) and the other is with us (obviously...hehe) and with our new toplist www.69topsites.com I don't mind helping out a fellow webmaster hmmm...I just thought I would say that other tutorial from the fetish one above post is pretty good actually ...
