Pointers for building freesites
I am getting ready to build Jen's hosted freesites and I am looking for some pointers or do's and don'ts on what I should do. I want to make sure that they are usable before I get them built and find out I made some stupid mistake.
Thanks in advance, Mike |

Best advice would be to surf a few of larger link sites like Link O Rama New Sites and look at the new site listings. That should give you a pretty good idea of what's listable
Nothing personal...it's gotta be said though, never directly copy another site...use it for inspiration and ideas only Also, always read the rules of the sites where you'll be submitting. For the most part, if you're listable at Greenies, you're listable anywhere...which is why I suggest starting there. Lastly, when you've got a sample ready...post it up on the forum and ask for review, you'll get honest opinions here |

Hi emmanuelle,
Yes that would be the best way to handle it. I emailed all of my old affiliates when they made the announcement with instructions on how links and ID's, etc. But I wasn't given access to affiliates of sammysmack to give them the information. If you were promoting Jen, and didn't get the email you can either contact me at mike@UncutBucks.com or on ICQ at 328265145 and I will take care of you, or you can just sign up at www.UncutBucks.com. I am sorry that I was not able to contact everyone directly who had been promoting her, but I would love to keep you as an affiliate and do whatever I can to assist you. Thanks, Mike |

Mr Yum,
Thank you for the suggestions. I will definitely do that. As soon as I have done my homework and have a sample ready, I willl definitely post it for feedback. |

A thread or two for you to read that will point you in the right direction:
http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=15875 http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=30075 If you follow those two threads you should have no problems with the link lists |

It is better to watch things then to do them
|
The things everyone said were great, might also search around here for the basics of freesite building. Also observe the little things that link lists dont like or wont accept. Some wont allow 2257 in an actual link form unless its counted as an outgoing link, etc.
I believe greenguy actually had a topic about what sponsors need to do to make freesites that are not only acceptable, but also convert well. |

I'm going to the backseat of my car with the woman I love, and I won't be back for TEN MINUTES

I'll throw one more link into the pot that HisYumminess passed on to me. Tho I'd built freesites in the past, it had been a long time, and I'd gotten quite rusty. A little refresher on blindlinks was in order:

Lots of reading for me to do before I even start playing. This is really great and much appreciated. I don't want to build some useless crap that no one can use. I will definitely read it all before I waste anyone's valuable time with throwing up a sample. And I really do appreciate everyone's assistance in doing this the right way.
Thanks again, Mike |

I have done FS for a few programmes now, I like you had a route around and the bottom line was - make them as if you were submiting them ie stick to the key rules and you can't go wrong.
