You can dress her up & have her lay in a casket & then the nuns around here would be praying for her to rise from the dead & Oops! There's a hard-on in the casket

Where do I fucking start? I don't usually talk about religion. I am a very bad Catholic. But when reading some of your anti Pope posts, you touch a raw nerve in me that I cannot ignore. Sure, the Pope has been the butt of many jokes throughout the centuries. But your anti pope posts are out of line. I like you Cleo, but don't insult the Pope, OK? |

I always argue with my wife that the pope was a good man. She claims that he just never got caught with a young boy. She assumes that every priest is a molester...some caught, some not. But, he really did do a lot of good for a lot of people. His inaction with certain things, ie...aids and molesting, did hurt a lot of people. It's hard to blame people for what they haven't done.
With that said, I am working on a turd that looks like him for ebay. No disrespect intended...just a good business decision |

it is the problem of using 2000 year old doctorine in the face of modern day problems. AIDs, overpopulation, molesting priests, gay marriage, and many other subjects are beyond what the "good books" say, and to me the church has been making it up as they go. Expecting an 80 year old man to have a modern view is, well, not too freaking likely. The chance that the church changes is about none as well. Not very useful for anyone involved.

Trying is the first step towards failure

Being a pagan, I find it humorous that such a large group of people are comfortable taking direction from a guy who's never held a real job, never gotten his hands dirty dealing with real life, and never had a carnal relationship with a woman. But hey, if people find comfort in their religious leaders, who am I to say they're wrong?
That having been said, I'd love to be there when they all wake up in the afterlife and realize that hell is primarily populated by lawyers, conservative politicians, cardinals, bishops, popes, and priests. That oughta take some fun out of the eternal kegger, dontcha think? |shocking| And on another note... I wonder how the "let's censor/clean up TV" people feel about the neverending shots of the pope's corpse? They're the ones doing all the complaining about all the death on the tube, after all. Inquiring minds want to know...

If there is one thing that I despised about the 'real' world was the policy that one wasn't allowed to discuss religion in the workplace. What that policy meant was that non-believers had to keep their mouths shut while Christians could rattle on and on about what was moral and just. Cocksuckers. I'm sure the pope was a fine and dandy old dude, but you shouldn't be shocked that a great many of us don't differentiate between him and any other dead old man.

I'm sure that there are some Dalai Lama jokes but since I'm not force feed Dalai Lama I haven't heard of any.
It's like Michael Jackson, the man is is a fucking freak and in the news all over the place so there is all kinds of sick jokes about him, but you don't really hear a lot about other pop stars. Personally I've grown tired of pope humor, pope praise, pope hate, I'm just tired of the fucking pope. If you don't want people goofing you then don't go around telling people that you are a divine whatever. |
