Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

So dig this...
I got a traffic ticket not long ago for letting my tags expire [can you say "Slacker"]
Court date was yesterday at 4 pm local time. Problem was there were tornados and golf ball sized hail here yesterday at 4. So I call the court and ask if there is a make-up date....and they said to just come in today.....wonder if this is a conspiracy? What should I do... A. Firebomb the court house in protest B. Skip town to avoid prosecution C. Carry my lame @$$ down there and pay up Any other input would be invaluable...

Go to court, plead guilty to the charges, ask for Probation before Judgement (if you have a clean driving record).
Make no excuses... if he asks why you are there to plead guilty, tell him that you realize the ticket could affect your insurance rates and wanted to request a reduction in the points for community service. I don't know if driving on expired tags is a 'pointable' offense where you live -- it was where I used to live.

Firebomb would be a good response but you will pay.
