Any big issue with redirecting members url to a different website?
I'm curious if people notice any huge issue with having basically websites set up just as tours for your main website where when people sign up they get sent to a different website url than the one they signed up on. I figure if people see good content they won't care, but sometimes it's hard for me to look at things from a member's perspective. I can "spoof" the members section of my main website, but there's a couple issues with that.

If there is nobody out there, that's a lot of real estate going to waste!

iFrame the main site on your landing domain!!
HTML Code:
<frameset cols='*' rows='*' FRAMEBORDER= 0 FRAMESPACING= 0 BORDER= 0 > <frameset cols='*' rows='*' FRAMEBORDER= 0 FRAMESPACING= 0 BORDER= 0 > <frame src='http://www.YourMainSite.com/' scrolling='yes'> </frameset> <frame src='http://www.YourLandingDomain.com/' scrolling='no'> </frameset> |

Interesting!
I guess my main question was, is there definitely an increase in cancellations if people get directed elsewhere, but that is an interesting solution. I do have a way to basically change the whole layout and use the same content, but it's a lot of work that I'd like to avoid if it isn't even going to make a difference. |

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

Then again if he has some links with target="_top" that will break the frames... :|

Why would you want to do that? Why not just promote the site you're redirecting to?
As a member if I see girl A on the tour and I sign up I EXPECT to see girl A inside. So yes I think new sign up members will have a HUGE problem with this. |

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Only time I've done that is between .net and .com and vice versa if I own both domains. Sometimes, I try different tours if I have both, yet the members area will only be on one of them.

Oh! I haven't changed since high school and suddenly I am uncool

Totally bad business, if a consumer is paying for content he's seen on the tour, the content on the tour is what he is expecting. It won't serve you well with respect to re-bills or credibility I'm sure.

I'm not sure where the misunderstanding came from(I'm sure I misspoke), but the websites are identical in terms of content, and the content advertised, it's just a bit of a different layout. Instead of say girl A not being there, which she is, it's merely the website title that's not there, and that's it. But I will do the extra work, rather than cut a corner that doesn't really need to be cut.

If all you are trying to do is to have another member's area for members to be able to access Strong Box does this in addition to stopping hackers and password sharing.
