Would you still use IBill?

Ok well when I started in this biz I signed with them and with my luck it was like 2 months later they had their nightmares and shit hit the fan. I now have ccbill and things are good. Getting all my tax paperwork together today, I noticed that my old ibill account is still active and I put up a test page and made a purchase that went threw. I always thought a back up process is a great idea and surly needed in this biz. Would anyone still use them as a back up? I dont want to go threw the visa nightmare again and the cost. I'm figuring since it's still working might not be a bad idea and I can at least make my money work that I spent with that company. jugg

Considering that there is talk of lawsuits, issues with their upstream processing houses / merchant banks, and other things that just never seem to be resolved, I wouldn't exactly recommend IBill. Further, I think you would have a hard time getting other webmasters to send traffic to a program if your main processor was IBill, as many just don't trust them.

FUCK IBILL

They owe me money as an affiliate THEY collected and have no intentions of paying me. And that bullshit of we are "arranging" to pay the programs to then pay you is crap. They are paying programs a percent of the money owed and only if they use them again. Most program simply took the loss and moved on.

I repeat....FUCK IBILL

I agree with Ramster, for the same reasons, but I'd have put it in larger print and bold.

dude!!! Trust us all here......STAYYYYYYYYY away from ibill. They are the most evil of all out there and they've burned peeps on many occasions, even when they said they were getting things back in play again. They even decided to let webmasters with sites be responsible for paying out affiliates instead of themselves (passing the buck)....

I really do not understand why ibill is even a company and still around...

lol OK OK OK I got it. you are all correct. I was thinking back up, not main processor. But still I guess I got excited for some unknown reason and thought about the $$$ I am going to have to spend for a back up processor. But I think I said this in the past and will take my own advice. I get what I pay for. I got burned by them once and well the great george w bush learned me something.

Wouldn't touch them, and while they only owe me around $2k, I know some people still owed some obscene amounts of money.

Though back when paycom had problems (long time back) ... how did they manage to redeem themselves? Do you think Ibill will ever be able to wash off the mud ?

Don't know paycom's issue but ibill has simply fucked people and not paid them. You will never see your money ever. I will never see my money ever as I am even lower...an affiliate. I know affilates owed $1000's (I'm one of them) so think about how much they must really owe when you count in the bigtime and small programs.

iBill should never be allowed to dig themselves out of this hole. Unless they pay every cent owed to people they deserve to be out of business.

They spend money on advertising, on booths at shows and sending people there yet they still do not pay money that is rightfully owed.

A year before they stopped paying someone wanted me to promote his iBill site. He thought I was being an ass hole when I told him I don't promote iBill sites. Turns out I was right.

Ibill has been trying to pay some people out, yet still has a long way to go. If they do manage to pay people do you think they deserve to be trusted or used again ?

If they paid everyone owed including the webmasters they were collecting the 50% for and to be paying as a 3rd party processor then NO! Now why no is I say? Because right now they have NO INTENTION of paying everyone they owe. And their attempt to pay is only a portion owed, percentages...not the full amounts.

If however they came back last year saying ok we are going to pay people what we owe then sure.

But that is not the case. They are doing business daily now and not offering to pay. They are promoting at shows and advertising and not offering to pay. If they won the lottery would they pay webmasters then because they have money? Who cares....their intent and business ethics are out the door.

Here is a webmaster's point of view.
I promoted a site using ibill and made $1000's. IBill was suppose to pay the company their money and me my 50%. I never got my 50%...they collected it and charged the surfers/customers but I never saw the money!! Now they are back in business, paying staff, paying lawyers, they are advertising, sending people to webmaster shows, paying for booths at the shows.....yet here I sit still owed money. Just like 100's, if not 1000's of other webamsters.

Thats my problem too. They can spend money on PR and cant pay debts.

Bad business imho.

I only have roughly 5,000 reasons, and I bet they are very similar to yours only you have 100x more reason not to deal with them!

There are more then emough processors out there that you don't have to resort to ibill, period!

DON'T USE IBILL!!!!!

They made me sign some fancy agreement, including a confidentaility clause. Well fuck them. I will not gag on my words and save them insult and injury. They drew up some bullhshit agreement telling me they would pay me in 30 days if I keep my mouth shut.

Well that was back in September, not 2004, when they went belly up. They signed this agreement with me in September 2005 saying they'd pay me in 30 days. WELL I HAVEN'T GOT A MOTHER FUCKING CENT.

THEY BROKE THEIR AGREEMENT SO I BREAK MY SILENCE, DONT' EVER FUCKING USE THOSE WORHTLESS SHIT HEADS EVER.|shocking|

Thanks and have a nice day.

Another thing, they are also already behind on "current obligations" that have nothing to do with when the shit hit the fan. They are behind on reserve payouts since October of 2005. They have not paid reserves due October, November, December of 2005, and thus far January and February of 2006. Those funds have ntohing to do with when the shit hit the fan. They are also unable to pay regular payouts on time. They are still always late. So they continue to steal from their clients. They collect money for us and don't give it to us. THAT IS STEALING!

So are we clear on not using Ibill and why? Do you need more info to make your decision?

Thanks and enjoy your Ibill free day.

I can't count lost rebills and refferal money.

They owed me in the high three figures for over a year, and this was several months before the well-publicized "troubles" began. I had their (then-) sales manager sneeringly tell me on the phone that I would "never see a cent" of it, since I'd had the nerve to switch billing companies due to iBill's massive security and customer fraud problems and irregular payment. After a year or so I did finally get paid the full amount without any explanation - I presume one of the sequence of several different new owners decided to square outstanding accounts and I got lucky.

But nah - I'd not go near 'em again for anything and I still warn newbies to stay far away from iBill. As I've stated elsewhere, I know it's not good to burn bridges in this industry, but that's one bridge that really needed burning and I have no qualms about trashing 'em. |pissleft|
