A Sleepless Night

Don't you hate when you have crap on your mind that keeps you from sleeping? That's me in a nutshell tonght. And, for the first time this week, my wife is sleeping well and it looked like a good night's sleep, finally.

Sorry you had a sleepless night. For me that sometimes happen if I have too much coffee too late at night. Other nights, I am good to sleep, but my kids make sure to wake me up a few times during the night.

I cut out all caffeine when I was told I had Kidney Stones It's just all the shit going on sometimes gets to me when trying to fall asleep. Nothing worse than trying to function the day after a sleepless night. I can remember a time when I stayed up for 5 days and nights. Those were very much younger days.

I usually try to find something totally mindless on TV. About 30 minutes of that seems to help the brain shut down.

Me too Toby but tonight it will have to be on the couch. Vickie has been up since Monday night. There is no way I am going to make what looks like her first good day this week less than that.

Any Law and Order or Without a Trace works well. For some reason they remind me of the old timey radio dramas. You can follow along without watching them. And it really doesn't get much more mindless than that.

I feel you on not being able to sleep
u worry about how this or that is going to turn out, and all it seems to do is make you more awake the more you think about it.
im in my semi younger days but it just gets harder and harder.

Glad to hear your wife's having a good nights sleep, and hope she has a good day tomorrow.
I haven't slept nights for years, but I generally don't get up until noonish.
Just a rythym I've fallen into.

What's sleep?

I either spend my time trying to sleep or trying to catch up on it.
One thing i've learnt is never make decisions when you're tired as i think i've made so many mistakes that way.

That is exactly what's happening to me tonight. I can't sleep so I tried watching a movie. When that didn't help, here I am, lol.
