Gonna Try Something A Little Different
I've been thinking about ways I can get more exposure for my RSS feeds and have decided to try something different.
I started looking at different desktop readers looking to see if I could find something that was brandable (I couldn't), flexible and was easy to add feeds to from a central list. I found RSS Bandit which had the ability to syncronize with News Gator. So I've now created a "feed list" on News Gator with all my RSS feeds and my affiliate feeds. So now my plan is to create a page on my blogs with a link to download RSS Bandit (I'll probably host the download so I can get stats on how many people actually download it) and instructions on how to syncronize RSS Bandit to my NewsGator feed list. Then, on Saturday, I'll do a post giving people a scenerio on how this solution solved a problem I was having and a link to the page with instructions. The reason I'm posting this is I want to invite anyone who wants to add their RSS feed to my list to PM me their feeds...unless they simply want to post them here and I'll add them. I'm waiting until Saturday to start the ball rolling to give me plenty of time to add some additional feeds. Also, for those interested in participating, the post I do on Saturday should be a fairly trackbackable post. Am I crazy or does this sound interesting? |

Sounds like a good idea, though I dont know much about how news gator works. I really need to do more studying... ronnie |

Actually, due to some events that I had little control over, I never got to implement this. I'll be working on it this week and will get you added Ronnie. But it's not time limited, I wouldn't mind it the list continued to grow.
