Adwords and pay sites..

Would you do pay per click with google on a pay site?

would it be better to do PPC with free galleries, leading to a pay site or sponser site?

Sending the traffic to a gallery first seems like a waste to me? Get them to whip out that creditcard the sooner the better I feel

lead to pay site is better of course. why giving for free
but don't wait to much from it.

Just sending the traffic to your paysite might not work out well and you'll lose money this way.
It's better to create a kind of hub site with different paysites for the same niche and also links to other niche paysites. This way you can also use different scripts and counters on your own sites to see which keywords do and don't bring in sales.

I make very surfer friendly pages with some freebies, looks like 15 to 20% actually bookmark it and come back |cool|

Paysite. If you're paying money by the click, deliver them directly to the product or they will be so watered down they will be useless.

If you're bidding by the keyword and you send them to a hub with other links on it, you've just diluted your traffic. You need to be very specific in your keyword targeting and you must track each keyword seperately if you can. This way, you can see the big picture after a while and decide what makes money and what doesn't. Then delete what doesn't and your ROI will immediately go up.

Remember, SE traffic is looking for something specific or something to buy or both. Much of this traffic is new people to the web. If they don't know how to get free porn then don't show them. Deliver them to what they clicked on and what they are searching for and they will buy.

I have at least one affiliate buying adwords and sending them directly to one of my pay sites. The conversion ratio is quite good and since it's been happening for a long time I think money is being made.

The main problem with trying to send directly to a paysite is that most paysites already have someone directly linking to them - and unless you can outbid the person that already has that number one spot - Google will NOT let your ad show - however in every case Ive looked at which is a little over 1400 paysites, you can still get a good spot with a landing page as long as you dont do a redirect. There are some paysites where you couldnt get into the top 8 1st page spots without one heck of a bid - which then comes down to what type of ROI you want for your money - most that Ive calculated you could break even - but very few would get you a good enough percentage to make it worthwhile.

If you can find a paysite that doesnt have anyone linking directly, then you could still do well - if it were a well known paysite - otherwise you run into the same problem as above.

Its a game of searching through Googles lists of keyworded paysites that actually get searches - and hopefully you can find one. For generic keywords there are huge opportunities, but again it just takes some time and patience finding the ones that will return something (which also varies over the year)

If you do your keyword research first and target your market.. helps to create roi.

also, setup google just to deliver US traffic.. I have seen alot of adult traffic from google come from brizel.. didn't convert.

I started my second Adwords campaign and every time I check my Adwords stats I shit my pants lol
How long do you run an Adwords campaign before deciding it's worth the investment or not?
On my first Adwords campaign I took me quite some time to make my first sale, the one I'm running now has excellent CTR/PPC/Avg Pos values but no sales yet..

spend $100 sending to gallery
spend $100 sending to FPA with links to other similar niche sites.
spend $100 sending directly to tour
and see which ROI is higher, same KW's on them, same ad text.

Just be very careful take your time. I recently started looking into this myself. I have been told by differant people that google is a waste, yahoo (overture) is good and the other way around blah blah. But one thing they all told me is be very very carful you can end up blowing your entire budget in 1 hour if you dont know what you are doing.

I'm looking at trying some specialized PPC, and the Overture keyword tool shows about 100k in searches per month. There is about 20k using the word FREE, which leaves maybe about 80k.

Anybody want to hazzard a guess on what the traffic would be from Google or other SEs. Also what percentage might be North American. Trying to do some budgeting for this.
