I started using a new alarm clock that I am not used to so. right at 6am, I am up

It's supposed to cool off a bit today so I may be able to take a ride. Jesus, I don't think I put 200 miles on my bike this year. Well, I have all of August and September to finish breaking in the newly rebuilt motor

Just so I can rebuild it again this winter.

You sound like me, Jim. This place doesn't have a garage (actually they're pretty rare down here), and a 2- or 3-car garage is on the list of things I want for my mountain place. Why? So I'll have room to take my Jeep apart over the winter.

I'm hoping Chris continues to fall apart out at sea, and doesn't strengthen again before it gets (anywhere near) here. Which would be good for all the Florida mainlanders too. Better if it never even makes it into the Gulf to bother anyone else either.

I should be around all day, except to go take care of getting a certain package on its way to the land of fine chocolates.

my sleep patterns are so fucked up I don't think i'll ever recover.

I was looking for that up at 2am thread that Spookyx started but haven't found it yet.

Anyway another day of sipping milkshakes through a staw--I don't think i'll ever buy cold stone again.

we've had a cold snap here -- its only been 98/99 for the past 2 days but today we are climbing again up to 102-103. Yesterday around 10am, my rug dawg shouted to me--MOM there is a huge crane in our yard.. and within 45 minutes my AC was up and running again. so that's a plus. Now if my trip to the O.S. will go as well this afternoon, possibly i'll have my phat ass facing the east on a jet blue flight tonight.

Good Thursday Peoples

Day 3 on the laptop, but that'll be over tomorrow as it was the mother board & there's now a new one installed & it's being shipped back today

Of course, it's not as simple as I stated above - the old mother board is obsolete, so a new one had to be installed, which meant the OS had to installed again & the back up drive was fucked, so the old primary is now the back up & a new HD is running it. But I'm happy to get out of this with a $500 bill & my old data in tact

Every surfer is a potential sale and thats what I need the most right now. Ill take every surfer I can get. Up way too early this morning but had to get up early since neighbor is out of town and ADT is coming to his house to install a new alarm system since his old one wasn't expensive enough or something.

Suppose to go down to South Beach later this afternoon to do a little business and just have some fun. It's a new project that I've agreed to that probably will turn out just to be a waste of my time but I should at least have some fun with it.

Hopefully the news about the storm named Chris will continue to be good but I've seen things change way too quickly in the past to completely relax about it.

Spent yesterday afternoon with an old friend to celebrate her getting engaged to her boyfriend. At lunch she confesses to me that she isn't sure that she actually wants to be with a man and is worried that she has always really been attracted to woman and then tells me that she has had a crush on me for many years. I really was just at a complete loss for words at that point.

Espresso and the twilight zone is now being served.

Morning! We lost power last night, no storm just no power. It was out for about an hour, so we jumped in the truck and went out to eat and drink. It was back on and nice and cool when we got back home

I'm now working on an even newer project and this one may last at least several hours longer than my last unfinished project. Woohoo!

Otherwise, I'm just sort of sitting here. I smell bad, so I'll probably wander outside and hose myself off. Being that I haven't turned on my ICQ in a few days, I can't turn it on now because I'll have to deal with all of those messages left while I was off.

I'm told that I have to do the laundry today since the wife and I are pulling a roadtrip tomorrow and I guess that requires clean clothes. Go figure.
