Max Hardcore GUILTY !

TAMPA, Fla. — Jurors in the Max Hardcore obscenity trial have returned a verdict of guilty on 10 federal counts of distributing obscene materials over the Internet and through the mail.

His company, MaxWorld Enterprises, was also found guilty on 10 related counts.

WOW ! They are serious huh ???

Bill 2008-06-05 07:57 PM

Hmmmm - that is crazy and serious news.

Fuck - it makes me want to see the movies in question.

The shock waves from this could be interesting.

Altho, it is florida, and tampa at that. FARK has a florida tag for a good reason.

ArtWilliams 2008-06-05 08:17 PM

Well, you can likely view the trailers in question on-line. I am not surprised that the prosecution was in Florida. It seems to be a state of two extremes. Without going into a long discussion, I am really of two minds about this verdict. Max Hardcore porn certainly isn't a celebration of positive human sexuality. I am more interested in the outcome John Stagliano trial.

SheepGuy 2008-06-05 08:28 PM

It is a sad outcome as far as I can see. Sure his stuff was nasty, but it was all between consenting adults and no business of any governments.

Torn Rose 2008-06-05 10:06 PM

Total BS.

Preacher 2008-06-06 12:58 AM

My prediction is that this ruling will be over-turned.

Not over-turned, dummy. Turned over, pissed on, then slapped in the face four or five times while being called "filthy whore". |shocking|

RedCherry 2008-06-06 12:03 PM

When I met him at Internext a few years ago, he just didn't strike me as someone who would even film this type of stuff. He was really nice, and easy to talk to.

On the one hand, I think he was pushing the envelope too hard with his extreme stuff he did. But on the other hand, any inroads into the prosecuting industry is a sad day. So I'm pretty torn on the issue.

I agree with you 100% |headbang|

Someone introduced me to him at my first Internext and I wouldn't shake his hand. I was polite about and act like I didn't hear the intro but I had no desire to be around the man.

I think that consenting adults should have every right to what they want and that if people want to watch it then they should have that right as well. I just chose to never be involved with anything that I find distasteful.

SirMoby 2008-06-06 03:33 PM

It was smart to hold the case in Florida. The 5th and the 11th circuits are the most promising as they have the highest percentage of dumb ass back woods under educated gun toting bible thumping country fucks in the nation.

Yep - it appears the judge totally ignored the "taken as a whole" provision of Miller, that has been well-established as legal precedent for a couple of decades, so any appeal seems likely to result in the conviction being overturned on its face. I'd think Max could even recover all his court costs on appeal as well, since one motive of the prosecution was clearly to bankrupt him and his company.

Star Man 2008-06-07 09:56 AM

I used to work at a dirty book store back in the day and every night as soon as my shift started, I would turn off whatever lame ass Wicked movie we had playing on the big display TV and pop in the nastiest Max Hardcore videos we had and cranked up the volume! The terrified, disturbed look on the customers faces like they didn't know what just hit them never failed to ammuse me!|asshole|

Anyway,I like Max and it's sort of depressing to see him go down like this.Hes a sick puppy but the stuff hes doing really isn't THAT bad!The fact that he looks like Freddy Krueger just makes everything he does look so much worst then it actually is.If you took a typical scene and replaced Max with some pretty boy muscle bound porn star, it wouldn't have nearly the same 'freak show ' impact at all.

U.S.A might be going to shit :(

I'd say that's been well-established since at least 1980, when Reagan first took office. |cry|

best link i have found on this case:

http://www.avn.com/video/articles/30477.html

What I want to know is how they even joined max site wo committing purjury
and entrapment even if had reason to believe a crime was being committed.
Its still entrapment and purjury.

"The prosecution's first witness was James Fottrell, a computer forensics specialist who testified that he had done a "traceroute" search on the Website maxhardcore.com, and had also downloaded the contents of that site - including roughly 950 .wmv video files, some of which were promotional trailers designated "Euro Version" - to a hard drive."

Entrapment is unfortunately not illegal in these cases.

The system has been wanting to bring Max Hardcore down for years now. They tried tried getting him with rape, assult and even claiming that some girls wern't of legal age.He dodged a few bullets but it was just a matter of time before he got nailed with some bullshit charges.

well if its not entrapment its perjury, entering site under false pretenses. I cant find anything on google about this as a defense...which is not promising...

The stagliano case also raises grave concerns...

I shook hands with the gentleman at avn in 2006 and expressed my condolences over the bullshit case. Overturned godammit. What the fuck is the deal with Florida? It's an ideal place to shoot porn. Fuckin politic assholes, go find someplace else to harrass producers. Ray Guhnn and Max Hardcore, two very fine gentlemen that don't deserve any of these fucked up charges.

pornofreekman 2008-06-09 02:55 PM

NEVER ... I repeat NEVER underestimate the power of US Evangelical Christians. You can have Man Sex in the Airport bathroom, but you MUST prosecute & persecute gays and you will be fine. Just do NOT blatantly profess your perversions/sexual appetite. Denial of your true self is First, but do it anyways and you will get a pass. I am a US citizen and thinking of becoming a Canadian or Mexican citizen one day.

The lawyers have filed for a new trial on +6 points.|thumb

It looks like they may even have a fairly good chance of redefining "community standards".

Also, apparently one of the jurors was fired from her job for participating in an obscenity trial? |confused|
That's gonna be fun to watch what happens.|catfight|

Max Hardcore Defense Files Motion For New Trial
The defense attorneys had to quickly refile their motion after Judge Susan C. Bucklew rejected the first attempt for being too long - 40 pages, with the Court's self-imposed limit being 25. The final motion came in at just 12 pages.

All I can say is move to Canada. We're smoking pot at gay weddings up here:)

MulidorMedia 2008-06-22 03:00 PM

Let's face facts, Forida sucks.Swamped with more illegal activity then any other state yet finds a problem with porn. There's a fucken shocker. They need to clean up their own back yard, then worry about the rest of the world

Mr. Plow 2008-06-22 04:31 PM

I may regret asking this, but, without getting too graphic, what was in the film that they found so objectionable? If it involves squid or lawn mowers, never mind:P
