SE advice for my TGP
 

Hi, I am new here. Hello to all. I look forward to seeing you all around.

I am running a TGP that is pretty new, and I am trying to optimize it for SE's... Now, I have been pretty stupid and have waited until now to start "studying up" on SE's, etc... I AM slowly learning, and I would appreciate any advice on SE optimizing my page. It is Saddam's Porno Jihad, and its URL is http://www.saddamsdirtymovies.com/index.html

Actually, advice on any aspect would be appreciated, as this is my first TGP.. Up until now, I have pretty much done TGP Galleries and Free Sites.

Write about 4-8 times more text copy for your page. Do the same for interior pages.

I shall do that. Are there certain things to avoid writing though? Like, would it HURT me if I have FREE PORN,etc too much?

"FREE PORN" is probably too ambitious, too much competition, too litle chance of positioning well, and finally, "FREE PORN" surfers are not your best buyers. You should think about where you make sales, and work up a list of three-word keyphrases targeted towards the sales you want to make.

But you have to write some text, for all practical purposes text is the only content search engines care about.

First use the Saddam thing so you get the benefit of the domain name towards the results... so you will get people by default... know a few people that grab traffic by optimziing pages around currenct events etc.

Another question... Im trying to build traffic to my site... I was thinking of buying some traffic, and then skimming for traffic trades only on the days that the purchased traffic is coming thru... 30% skim, maybe...

1) Any problems with this strategy? I plan on doing it maybe a few times a month at first... (still testing ideas, etc)

2) is a 30% skim good or bad? I REALLY dont want to piss off the surfers.. I know skimming does that.. So I want to keep it minimal... Not skimming every day, etc..

Any comments, suggestions, advice is still most welcome. :)

GenSEX, here's a bit of TGP advice even tho this isn't the TGP area.

Never build just one TGP. Build them in supporting clusters. Traffic bought into one can be fed into the others. Put hard trades on one and let it be your SE target, and skim one like a son of a bitch.

Little TGPs don't make that much money.

On another subject, as far as saddam keywords goes, obviously he's already going there, but I don't do topical pages, I leave that money to somebody else. Personal choice. There's lots of things I won't sell.

I am simply trying to get traffic to my site. When you say that you hate CJ's.. Heh, I do too... I realize now that 30% IS steep... Hmm... decisions, decisions.

Well, I will finish by saying that i hope you don't think I was trying to cheat you... I floated the idea of skimming to see what responses it got... And now, I see that linklists such as yours are not cool with it.

Either way, since it IS something you are NOT down with, I would absolutely let you know IF and/or WHEN I will implement it, so that you can pull the link... if it hasnt been pulled already.

Bill, again, thanks for the advice... As I was crafting my response to DangerDave, I was thinking in the back of my head... "Wow... It looks like the idea of skimming was bad. The last thing I want saddamspornojihad to be is a CJ."

I now see the importance of building a network of sites, that feed traffic to one another, etc..

Everyone: I hope you are all patient with me. :) hehehe. I do want to make Saddam a solid, respectable TGP. Something NOT there just to make a quick buck. Keep in mind this is my first TGP, and I dont fully know all of the etiquette, etc of running a TGP. I sincerely appreciate the advice you have given, and I hope you dont hold the occasional newbie idea that I might have, against me.

I will consider this lesson #1 in running my first TGP. :)

I have decided NOT to implement skimming, because of the advice I have gotten on this board.

Please let me know, DD, if you don't plan on reinstating my link. (Its all good if you dont.. I understand. :) )
