Wiki is showing jennicam at April of 96.. Not sure tho..

Greenguy 2006-12-29 01:18 PM

I know Jim's site was on in 1995. Not sure about Carol's.

GonZo 2006-12-29 01:48 PM

Wiki is incorrect. My memory is much better than theirs.

Ive updated the thread on Oprano for anyone that is interested with comments from Danny Cox and Jen of Jen-dave.com

Jim's on a bit of a hiatus, but I'm sure he'll chime in when he gets back :)

Carol gave us our first link. I think her site was up a few months before ours. No matter how long, it was up before ours. And, jamesandvictoria started out as just a place to look at pictures (not of us), post personals, read stories...etc. We only took very softcore pictures of ourselves after about 4 months or so and I am glad they are long gone :) My wife hated picture taking time :)

Thinking about it, I think Deb of the Web was up even before Carol's site. I could be wrong about that but I think that might be right.

Jim 2006-12-30 10:28 AM

That is how you know how long someone has really been in the business. Ask them to describe Deb of the Web :) She pulled her site down probably before 99% of the people started in this business.

Deb the Who?

:D

See :) I think it was my first Adult (Kind of Friendly) host that put us, her and Serge on the same server. Serge and I enjoyed being able to ftp into our account, go back a few times and have access to her site or each others for content :) I say they were kind of friendly because once we peaked the server, they said, there is no upgrade...either live with it or leave. At one time, it took almost 10 mins for our front page to load. And strangly enough, during that time, that was the most money I had made. It seemed the banners popped up before anything else and people got tired of waiting so they clicked the banners. Of course, that was when you only got paid by PPC.

When did Janey come around?

Whod have thunk that when I was surfing up jamesandvictoria back at MCI that I would be talking about it many years later with James himself.

Them personal sites were a goldmine back then. I still own atlantaswingers.com.

I have a plan for it in 2007.

Man, i really don't recall about this one.
I remember about Xpics and Gamma but about an amateur site ?

I would guess Asia ? She had a chat box and acouple of cool features for the time.

Papa 2006-12-31 10:00 AM

Well Asia ain't an amateur so i guess i'm f&cked hehehehehe but she was the first pornstar to own and operate one for sure

Jim Im begining to see my research lead to it being Deb of the Web.
The question is who had the first dot domain?

Carol Cox or Deb?
