I can't remember the last time we have had this many beautiful days of weather in a row. Probably means that next week when we go to Busch Gardens the weather will be miserable.

Just a day of work and errands planned for today.

Holy fuck, I totally messed myself up last night. We were setting up the Christmas tree last night. We needed an extension cord, so I go running outside to grab one out of the shed. What I didnt realize is that it had been raining all day and had just fallen below freezing last night. My happy ass starts down the wheel chair ramp that is built on to our deck, which is the way I always go when I head to the shed for something, before I know it my feet go straight out from under me, my ass hits the ramp, and then as I'm falling backwards my head hits the ramp. Next thing I know my wife is standing over me flipping out asking if I'm ok. Turns out the wheelchair ramp turned into a solid sheet of ice. I am concussed, I have a majorly bad case of whiplash, and my back hurts like a son of a bitch. My wife said from inside she heard an "AHHH!!", then two huge loud thuds, which the first one was my ass, the second was my head.

I've been in two pretty bad car wrecks where the car I was in got rear-ended, smashed in, and totaled, and this is a very similar feeling.

Good morning all. I slept for about 2 mins last night and as a consequnce I feel like crap right about now.

Hope you feel better soon Mr Exotic but you know you really should lay off the acrobatics until your able to do them properly :)

There was an accident outside our house last night in the snow. Two cars head on. Both write offs but luckily only a few cuts and bruises to speak of. We called 911 and they appeared in hordes. 3 ambulances, 4 fire trucks and 3 police cars although two of those did block off the road either end while the other cars occupants took statements etc. It just struck me that there was a serious waste of resources. Then again I guess they all turn out in case something is needed from one of the other trucks not knowing the scale of the smash. The really crazy thing was that people were trying to get by the crash scene before the emergency services arrived and there wasn't a chance in hell of them managing it, given that the cars were blocking the road and somebody injured was being looked by ourselves and other drivers until they could be safely removed from the car.

Oh well, its a crazy world. It's time for a cuppa and maybe some sleep if i'm lucky.

Damn, seems yesterday was a day for accidents. Here are a few pics of the recovery operation yesterday after my neighbor's nice Robalo sank in the canal behind our houses while we was away at work. Good news is they got it raised okay and it's now in the boatyard to find out why it sank.

Wow this aint good, a little bit ago went to sit down, and then out of nowhere had this uncontrolable urge to puke, before I even had a chance to get up I puked all down the front of myself. I dont feel sick or anything at all, this concussion shit sucks. I guess it can go on for 2 hours or months. I hope this goes away soon.

hey Mr Exotic, take good care of yourself and go and see a doctor! They at the ER can check your head and decide if you need their care... and a day before the turkey day, it sucks.

My cold is still making me sick but today it decided to make my remodeled windpipe bleed again and sneezing is also funny and sucks.

I've been up for 4 hours, but for some stupid reason, I spent 3 hours going thru Fantasy Football & Hockey stuff. And later today I'll wonder why I got nothing done |crazy|

Sorry to hear about your accident Mr. Exotic! When I was concussed from being thrown from a horse, the puking only lasted about 24 hours...hope yours is the same. The "forgetting what happened the last 5 minutes" though went on for weeks. (although with age, that has returned, lol)

We spent so much time in Home Depot yesterday picking out wood for our shelves, getting it cut, getting paint mixed to paint the shelves, having the color come out wrong, going to WalMart getting them to re-mix colors, and what felt like talking with everyone, we got no work done yesterday on our kitchen pantry shelf project. Hopefully, we get the shelves up today as we have all the parts we just need to paint and assemble. Those 2"x12"x8' planks are heavy, so getting the top ones up are going to be a bit of a bitch, but will look great when we are done. They are also fun to fit into a Saturn Vue, lol.

I got a kid home today and that's about the most exciting thing on my plate today. Oh, I do get try to install a wireless router as a repeater to help the downstairs rooms to get some wireless loving.

Wrote 85 lines of python last night which should save me about 30 hours of work. While the results aren't precisely what I need, it does get me close enough to make the minor changes by hand since MySQL seems to not give you access to certain table structure details outside the command line interface.

Hopefully all of you that are feeling the flu symptoms will recover quickly, and, hopefully everyone else will have a good Tuesday.

Mr Exotic, definitely get that checked out at a doctor/hospital/clinic.

Morning all:) well 5:36 afternoon here and i worked my butt off today:D...reason why i did that?..... i am gonna skip the net again for some days!..... why should i do that???...... because i wanna spent more time with the hubby!.....and is hubby happy with it?....well i dont know and i dont fucking care, i think we spent to much on other things like work, so i nagged his head of yesterday that i want my old life back and be jumpy again!..........did the nagging work?.....yes, because hubby asked me to make a list what i wanna do more in my life, and did i had a super hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee list for him:D...result......hubby took off from work for this week thursday and gonna take me out for the whole day...to where what , when how...i realy dont know...its a surprise!...So are you happy now? ....yes i am:D|boobies||boobies|

I use the word irony sparingly, but I'm thinking that Mr. Exotic's experience on the handicap ramp is one of the very few instances of irony found in nature.

Go see a doctor and cut that ramp into kindling.

The wife is home for the rest of the week, then she'll be gone, daddy, gone. I will be a very lonely boy. She said that she's not worried about the kids, but she is worried about me. Now, why would someone worry about a guy like me, who is so amazingly emotionally stable? I am a rock.

Now that I live in Florida I don't have to worry about snow and ice and falling anymore. When I was in High School and living in Maine I sliped on some icy snow and landed on a steel pipe and cracked my breast bone. OMG did that hurt...|cry| I moved to Florida that same year smartest thing I ever did!

Haha, you can only imagine the conversation we had after I picked myself off the ground and managed to get back in. I was like "Fuck that god damn ramp, that motherfucker is gone". We've already discussed getting rid of it before because the kids think its a slide and are gonna end up with an ass full of splinters, and my 4yo boy thinks its fun to ride his little bikes and cars down it.

I mean what the hell was that old lady thinking when she put that thing in, haha. I guess the dude we bought the place off of, had bought it off his ex mother-in-law after getting a divorce and she is the one that had it put in. The fucker is so steep I sure as hell would like to see a person in a wheel chair even attempt to make it up that thing.

As far as going to the doctor, I think I'll be fine, everytime I let the old lady talk me into going it always ends up being a huge waste of money. This summer when I tore my hamstring she insisted I go to the ER and by insisting I mean not even talking to me until I went. They said yep you tore it (thanks I already knew that) there is nothing we can do, if it doesnt get better you'll have to have surgery, then gave me a prescription for pain killers. Then a month later give me a bill for 370$.

This is actually the 3rd time in my life I've had a concussion. First time was playing ball and getting hit in the head when I was a kid, and the second time I was in my old Ford work truck I used to have, got rear-ended and bashed my head so hard on the back plexiglass window that the window popped out. I mean my head hurts and all, but compared to my back and especially my neck, the concussion part is what is causing me the least pain.

I'm back from the Big Easy. Which was TONS of fun. Now it's time to check back in with life. Need to unpack, shower, and then take a nap. As I've been up since 3am my time to catch the flight home. Then later I need to go to the gym and begin working off the monstrous amounts of food I just ate over the past couple days.

It's cool and all that Thanks Giving is this week, but on the flip side of the coin I'm not going to get much done this week in the way of work. oh well.
