I hope the 'Muricans out there have a safe and SANE holiday. Please please please think twice before going out to those picnics. Mask, distance, wash those hands. You can still enjoy all kinds of fireworks without breathing on each other, right?

I read the NYT article. Trump's Mt. Rushmore speech sounds like it was a call to a race war. What a horrible person. I never thought the anti-christ would look like a big fat cheeto.

The forecast is for temperatures to be a minimum of 32C (90F) tfor the next week. As my dear, departed mom used to say, "it's as hot as Hades!"

So, I'll be staying in today and working on my computer and watching TV. My wife and daughter are up and cottage country and will be coming home tonight.

Forgot to pop by yesterday but did go golfing then a few beers and off to the cottage. At the cottage for the weekend, man the AC we got is awesome, kept the bedroom nice and cold |thumb

Been working for a few hours this morning since I took 70% of yesterday off, going to work for a few more hours then bugger around the cottage, maybe run errands for things we may need. Have a good |sars| free weekend and 4th of July |party

Slept in this morning because it's gonna be a looooooong day. 1st we're going to Yell's to cook out because they're stuck dog-sitting and the dog basically pisses itself anytime a firework goes off |facepalm| Then we're going to my buddy's house to watch him blow off $1K :D worth of fireworks while I |cheers| with all my old-school friends |thumb

Not much going on here as we usually stay in because the amount of fireworks going off in our pine tree filled neighborhood is ridiculous. It's been every night for the past 2 months as if people don't have jobs or something.

This will be the first time in 20 years we don't have to worry about pets and the country is shut down and what's not I won't visit so I guess it's Netflix and chill.

We watched Hamilton (Disney+) last night and I understand why my wife enjoyed it. Glad they did this as I had missed the first time it came through town as I was out of state but she took our daughter in law. Then they canceled earlier this year and even though we have tickets again for this winter I have a feeling it will be canceled again because COVID19 is here to stay! Thanks Obama

I watched just the fireworks portion of Mt Rushmore last night and it was not great. In fact while watching one thing I said to my wife is Neil Young is not going to be happy about them using his song. Just looked it up and he is not.

It was almost worse listening to it. The Husband had never really heard him speak outside of the soundbytes they get on the news here. He made me stop it after about 5 minutes. I agree with you -- so much hatred, so much divisive talk. It makes me very sad to still hold US citizenship. I am certainly not proud of the current situation.
