Wednesday June 17th (aka More PC Hell)

Morning! |sars|

Ever since last week's fun-filled Windows update my PC has been acting wonky (technical term). It gets really slow at times & File Explorer has been all FUBAR. At 1st it was just warnings about some Intel error, but everything worked so I just assumed/hoped the problem would go away :D Yesterday File Explorer started to simply freeze anytime I right-clicked a file. So today I rebooted a couple times, checked for more Windows updates, etc. Finally decided to use the Google & found this:
How to Resolve Intel® Optane™ Memory Pinning Error: 'Unable to load DLL ‘iaStorAfsServiceApi.dll'' Encountered
So I'm trying that now |club|

My chiro hired/added a stretchologist (doctor of stretching) so I gave that a 30 min try yesterday to see how it helps my back. I was sure I'd be hurting today from having all those muscles I haven't moved in 15 years jostled about, but nothing. I think I'll go once a week & see what happens |thumb

Just work today...assuming this thing lets me |pcsucks|

Yeah, File Explorer sucks and has sucked for quite a while. I have an issue with it freezing and shutting down when I am trying to rename files. I now use Free Commander most of the time and it is superior for things like renaming files. In other areas, it isn't as good.

Just another busy, crazy day here. InLaws are on their way with fresh, farm-grown strawberries (none of those imported Spanish ones enter this house!). Other than gorging on those today, it is porn as usual. Thunderstorms may also be an issue. Sigh.

Morning. |coffee

Not sure what you did in a previous life Greenie but Windows hates you. I can't remember the last time I was in my Windows partition. Maybe it was to see how a site rendered in IE (or whatever the latest MS browser is). I don't know. I seem to be able to do everything in Ubuntu. I guess if I didn't have a tablet I would need access to iTunes and Sonos but I have a tablet. Oh, if I used Adobe products (other than Flash or PDF Reader) I'd be fucked.

I agree Pagan, local June strawberries are the best. Ontario berries should be here this week!

My doctor will be giving me a phone consultation this morning. I tell him what my blood pressure is and he renews my prescription. Will I ever see him again? Other than that, it's working on my website. I am looking forward to getting that done and taking some vacation time.

Have a good day! |thumb

Good morning |waves|

Up and working, no other plans today. I did go to the cottage yesterday late morning and spent the day there. Internet guy came and we have internet and it's pretty good, Speedtest showed 35 MB down which is all I need to do regular work and for us to stream Netflix etc |banana| I set up the table and chairs, prepared the gazebo to be set up and had a BBQ with a couple of friends that came over since we're under a half hour drive away |thumb

Good Morning :)

Greenie, my wife had an auto windows update and rebooted without even asking. Wiped her computer clean like it was a brand new computer. Thankfully she had important stuff backed up. Between your complaining and this happening I'm thinking I should buy a mac. I still have not done my taxes and it's mostly because I hear about all this windows fuckery.

Grandson is coming over today |banana|
|hellomoto| is on tv tonight!

Going to be a good day :D

Enjoy yours!

It's another day in a very dull life, but at at least I don't have any Windows issues here that I know of. I am also not paying a man who lives in a van down by the river to pull on my muscles. |waves|

Looks like it will be another rainy one. Fortunately, I rarely go outside. That's how I get over on Mother Nature.
