The "What Are You Working On?" Thread - Month Of June 2018
 

Since I've been doing just the bare minimum with all my crap the last few weeks, it's time to get moving on the new LOR admin that |bow| pc has been fiddling with for me. The good news is that I have everything but the free sites (galleries) ready for import. The bad news is there's 15,000 or so of those to get ready. Then I get to make thumbs for the rest of my life |facepalm|

I actually started cleaning one of the blogs yesterday. It should be done today and I can start loading new posts.

Network has been getting daily updates for a while now. Sometimes it's only 10 galleries, but still, it is daily. I am shooting for 100+ per day, scheduled out. If I add 25 to 40 a day to the network, that means I can actually get caught up a bit and go get new stuff to fill in the gaps.

My goal for this month is to continue those daily updates, get at least this one blog going again, feed my tubes, and get back to doing builds.

Funny you should ask. {insert tongue in cheek smiley here}

I'm also going to be in thumbnail hell for most of the month. Of my seven TGPs, two are still using 135x180 thumbs, where all the others use 150x200. I'll be recreating a few thousand thumbs on each so I can modify the existing templates to display the larger thumbs.

Having all sites using the same size thumbs will save time in the long run, but it's a major pain in the ass now. No pain, no gain. In the good ol' days I would have just paid someone to make all the thumbs. {heavy sigh}

I was joking, but wouldn't that work? Yes, it'd stretch the thumbs, but you're not gonna see a major loss in quality increasing them by just 15 & 20 pixels on each side.

I'd try this 1st. Then go thru the pages & see if you find any really bad ones & redo just those thumbs - probably save a lot of time :)

I may try a test run on one of the other pages to see how it looks.


UPDATE: Did that on the last page of thumbs, meh... looks blurry to me when you get them all side by side.

Some do look bad, but not all. Just go redo the ones that are bad...and have fun resizing all those tables|lol|

I've resized enough thumbs to increase the size on page 1. I still need to modify some of the include pages, but they get used across all pages, so will wait until I have enough thumbs resized to fill all four pages. (144 per page)

I have decided to scrap the TGP I was building here in favour of building a link link using Wordpress and this plugin. All I want is something simple to hold my galleries and allow others to submit if they want. The Mechbunny TGP doesn't really do that the way I want it to unless I am willing to spend money for them to change it. I am not. (Maybe I'll so something with the Mechbunny script later).

So the plan is a simple WP based link list and then several niched based WP blogs. I plan to make the blogs so minimalist and customized that each page looks like a FHG.

My goal is to be in production by the end of the month if not before.

OK, the resize on Babes in Boots is finished. I still have a bunch of galleries in the database that don't have the larger thumbs yet, but enough do that I can fill the four pages.

Next up, Latex Vixens... This one will be a bit different, as it uses random galleries to fill the top row during each update. Still working on the plan of attack for that job.

You could add a high Weight to them as you make the new thumbs & then recode it to have only galleries with that high Weight be used for the 6 random ones. This way, you'd be able to get the page looking the way you want & not have to redo all the thumbs right away.

I am really starting to get the hang on categorizing and adding FHG's.
So Pornpitstop is getting a lot of attention.
I recently realized that FHGs returning a 302 will *not* be able to make new thumbs through Gallery Scanner.
So I'm trying to figure out effective ways of making several thumbs for those too.
Also looking into more smarts ways of 'thinking" categories.
I mean, when I have BFF and BBF, why on earth should I have threesome too? (Learning as I walk here, the hard way is the best |lol|)

I'm updating SmilingpussyLinks too, ofcourse. But not everyday unfortunately. I am considering going TGPx on that one too...

also working on blogs like Big Boobs Not Allowed and Josei Fucker.

This was the main motivation for updating Babes In Boots and Latex Vixens to the same thumb size as my other TGPs.

Sometimes you can get gallery scanner to work, if you whitelist the URL for redirects, but nothing works for HTTPS sites. Now I only have to manually make one thumb across all. (I use individual installs, not the server version of TGPX).

I've been looking for white-list earlier, where is that setting?
(Worst thing, I can't blame on my sight anymore |lol| )

I sometimes hate myself and my wandering mind sooo much.
This is the setting I've been looking for, I've been tipped by Pagan and everything.
But no, my stupid mind decides what I'm looking for and when I do not find *that* it's just not there.
But it was and it was so freakin' easy to configure.
All this hassle I could have been saved. ARRGH!!!
