We've decided to add a new forum to the board:

Looking for content? Hosting? Sponsors? Whatever - post it here & I'm sure Board Tracker & All Of'em will flood your thread with replies :)

Now we can all get back to fucking work :D

Yep...we are busy going through the board now moving threads where people want products or services. So, if you have something to sell, take a look. If you asked for something in the past, you should take a look as well.

I was going to suggest you contact Ron to have him add the new forum. . . . but I see he responded already, so instead I will say, nice move.

It is more of a reverse spam area. People can ask for things and people can promote there products. The spam area remains Products and/or Services.

So if a spammer posts off topic in a particular thread on that board their post can be deleted?

Yes....but, say someone is looking for a sponsor with a particular site and people start posting their referral codes. That would be fine. I guess, once someone is looking for something, accurate spamming is fine :)

Did my comments on that other thread spark the idea for this new forum? I bet it did. I'm taking full credit for the idea...... damn I'm good.

spam should never be allowed. plain and simple. you dont realize it, but you are still not allowing spam (which is a good thing).

Spam - "Unsolicited "junk" e-mail sent to large numbers of people to promote products or services. Sexually explicit unsolicited e-mail is called "porn spam." Also refers to inappropriate promotional or commercial postings to discussion groups or bulletin boards."

thanks goes to google.com & getnetwise.org for that word definition.

as you can see, the keyword(s) would be "Unsolicited" & "inappropriate promotional or commercial postings".

therefore, if someone asks for (solicits) links to content providers, it is impossible to spam them as long as you stay on topic.

nice move on the new forum addition btw.

Moderated to a point - off topic replies will of course be deleted as they are now, but we will not "punish" people that don't have a large number of posts.

Nice addition, saw announcement in NL and popped over to see what folks were looking for and found 3 leads.

Only downside I can see is if shilling gets to be a problem. Otherwise it's good flow of info targeting needs to services/solutions... good call... ;)
