I'm supposed to go pick up my new PlayStation & copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 today but I just noticed that the Official Guide I ordered from Amazon is on back order & I can't find a copy of it locally, so that's going on hold :(

That's probably a good thing because I have a pile of work in front of me that probably should come first :D

I think there will be no dirt moving today as I'm sore but mostly because I've got to do bills and also expecting a delivery today I don't want to miss if I'm out back. This item will help me pack dirt a lot easier than me just stomping around. Normally I would not worry about that as my wife is still at home but she is leaving here shortly for a few days with my daughter and grandson.

Other than doing bills and hopefully taking them to the post office it will be biz stuff and netflix.

For the Red Dead 2 people, I read some amazing reviews today. "Best story, best game from Rockstar" etc. :)

Possibly the busiest week of all year came to an end and I still was able to do core biz work and still have energy left.

Recently I bought a 'medical lamp' that simulates sun-light (to lazy to google what it's called in English).
I bought it to fight off winter-depressions, which seems to arrive earlier each year. (Hit me late September this year).
I've been using it for 20-30 minutes every morning for over a week, while I (currently) reads the K.K Downing (Judas Priest) autobiography and I'm almost 100% sure this lamp gives me both energy and less depression.
I just feel great :)

As I'm nagging about every Friday, It is a really good day |whisper|
So I can't feel much better atm.

Jolly... those lamps are quite a bit thing here in Finland too. I have one on my desk that I work under most of the day, and my stitching work light is also one. It helps. They also tell us to take Vitamin D3. I had stopped that just after the stone, and started it again last week as I could not handle the depression. Staying busy also helps keep the mind occupied and off of the increasing darkness.

It made GTA 5 so much better IMHO. I played GTA 4 & RDR without the guides (never finished 4 & thought I finished Red Dead, then I found out he had a kid & threw the controller at the wall) but playing 5 with it was extremely helpful. Plus, it got The Bitch involved: she'd sit with the guide & follow/assist while I played...and she actually enjoyed it lol

Plus I doubt I'll ever go into their online world. I'm too |scared| so I tend to stick to the storyline in these :)

yeah I realized after I hit 40 that if I'm still chucking controllers I need to look some shit up on the internet. whatever makes the game enjoyable and not completely and utterly soul crushing is the best option to play with... especially if a hot Bitch gets involved... I mean whaddya mean you WANT me to play video games sweetie? (if you get her to massage your back as you shoot baddies i'll erect a "hall of game" next to AVN's dedicated to you buddy)

and LOL broseph, I once got logged into a racing game online without my knowledge and some fuckheads started chasing me (trying to recruit me to play the game with them) and I am still emotionally scarred from the experience |potleaf|... scared the fuck outta me I thought Skynet was in it's first stage of the takeover man...

I play in offline mode and send games back if they won't let me be as antisociable as I want to be....

Thinking back, I do not have that many good memories with my ex-wife, but we did play Silent Hill 1-3 together. She loved to watch me play those, helped me with the puzzles and was more affected by jumpscares than me :). We had a jolly good time together with those games.
We repeated the same with Resident Evil 4, but she fell of midway. The game just wasn't the same, from a spectators perspective.

In the early 90's a bunch of us were at a friend's house & he was playing one of us in hockey & I did see what happened to cause him to do this, but he screamed as he stood up & threw the controller & it stuck PERFECTLY in the wall. Of course, no camera :(

But yeah, RDR - I thought the goal was to kill that guy & when I did, I was all "Holy Shit I Fucking Did It!!" I was so fucking relieved! Then they sprung his kid on me?! I turned it off & that was the last time I played it lol
