We made a bunch of html 5 animated banners in 300 x 250 size which many seem to like. I always like 728x90 and 468x60 as well.
Boxes like 300x300 also fit in many places. ;)

300x100 & 300x50 are quite normal for mobile spots
300x300 for native adverts
