Member Ramster - Negged on our deal...

This is just a heads up...

Ramster agreed to buy 5 domains off me and then when it came time to pay up it was excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't.

I tried very hard to work things out with him, even dropped the price but still nothing...

It really sucks as this was my first post/deal here at GG&J, not a great start I must say.

Mike

PS : " Life is good " |bullshit|

Ramster 2009-09-09 09:02 AM

Hahaha, nice post.

Did I reneg on our deal? Yes. I decided to buy some domains off you and then I did not. I'm certain I said sorry to you every time you messaged me to complain about me not buying them and for the last time I'll say it again.... sorry.

Now move on Mike, shit happens. I backed out of $300 of domain buying, not a huge deal. Stop harping over this.

Tippy 2009-09-09 09:33 AM

Dude, if you pulled this shit on another forum I'm a member of you would be banned, I guess some people/forums just dont care if members go around screwing people over.

Sorry doesnt work, your not a 13-16 year old kid who just broke a window...

Mike

Cleo 2009-09-09 09:36 AM

I don't understand the issue here.

Ramster thought of buying some domains and then changed his mind. This happens all the time on deals.

Move on and sell your domains to someone else.

So if 2 people agree on a deal and 1 person backs out, the forum bans that person for life? Ummm... ok. Dude I didn't steal from you, I changed my mind on buying some domains. Am I an asshole for doing so, sure I can live with that. But forums don't ban people for not closing a deal they agree on, jeesh.

I'm not sure why you're taking it so personal Mike.

I'm done posting in this thread.

Tippy 2009-09-09 09:52 AM

It wasnt a thought, we had a sales agreement... either way, you honestly think this is ok, to go around and make deals with people and then turn around and stiff them?

This wasnt a one day type deal, it went on for like 2 weeks... during these 2 weeks he continued to say he wanted to buy the names, just needed time to get the $, thus I believed him and waited.

Im sure I wont get much support here as Im a newbie and Ramster is an old timer but thats ok because I KNOW I am in the right and he is in the wrong.

Mike

EDIT : Reputable Forums ban people daily for such things, some people take their sites seriously and dont want this type of stuff going on, then again this is an adult industry forum and we all know where the adult industry online is going... down the TUBES.

balls_deep 2009-09-09 10:09 AM

I don't see the issue here. You were in the middle of negotiating a deal, no one signed any paperwork. This is why we have contracts, so things like this don't happen... but even if there was a contract ramster was only in the process of signing the deal, he never even picked up the pen.

Welcome to the business world Tippy.

Tippy 2009-09-09 10:26 AM

The deal was done, we both agreed on the price, the only thing left was for Ramster to honor his word/PM and send payment... which he said he would do over and over in his many PMs to me.

Ive been selling domains since 2003, sold over 1000 names, I know the biz, I also know whats right and wrong. The PMs Ive received is the contract, signed by Ramster himself.

I dont wish to start posting PMs but if thats what it takes for you people to understand then so be it.

I have nothing to hide...

Mike

Ramster 2009-09-09 11:11 AM

Okay one LAST post on this matter.

Read again, I never said I was right... not ONCE. In fact in the FIRST POST I said I backed out and I said sorry about it. I backed out of the deal, end of story.

Greenguy 2009-09-09 11:24 AM

Next time you bash my forum, I'm banning you.

Tippy 2009-09-09 11:28 AM

lol and you say that with such pride...

NY Jester 2009-09-09 11:42 AM

Umm yeah , other than maybe causing you a week or so of grief I dont honestly think ANY forum reputable or otherwise would ban anyone for not making a deal.. if that were the case than I can start slinging some names for alot more than $300.

The point is, you had domains, Ram thought he'd want them, then decided he didn't. He has apologized and explained why. Case closed. If the domains are good ones than I'm sure you can get another buyer or buyers.

Its pretty sad that you live in a world where sorry doesnt work.

|attention Listen Tippy, there is a huge difference between scamming and just breaking a deal. I'd watch what you say and how you say it. Ramster didnt scam you out of anything. You still are the righteous owner of the domains. If you transferred the names to him and he refused to pay, then that would be a scam

You'll have to try much, much harder to harm the good name of Ramster.

Tippy 2009-09-09 12:09 PM

I figured Ramster would have a following, he should considering hes been a member here since 2003. Im just stating the facts thats all, you people will obviously decide for yourselves but to say its nothing to break a deal is crazy. If your word aint with anything then how can you be.

Morals people, morals...

Which Ramster did none of the above -

|attention YOU STILL HAVE THE FUCKING DOMAINS. YOU ARE OUT NOTHING, ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH, NADA. He backed out of the deal...thats it. |banghead|

IMO, both of you should settle this dispute, with Ramster paying a nominal fee. It's common practice for companies who prematurely terminate a contract to compensate the counterparty, which has suffered as a result, by paying them a small fee of 10-20%. Think along the lines of cell phone companies who charge early termination fees.

You had a signed contract stating that Ramster irrevocably was going to buy those domains?

If not, quit bitching and move on.

The only response so far that makes any sense... to be honest this is what I thought Ramster would have offered to do but he didnt considering he led me to believe for days that he was buying the names.

And yes, I have a digitally signed PM Contract mentioning time and time again that he wanted to buy the names... I guess it all comes down to the old saying... " dont spend what you dont have "

When someone tells you payment will be sent on such and such day well you kinda plan on that $ coming in. Well when I woke to another bs story about not having the funds it does kinda fuck things up eh.

I had another party interested in 2 of the names @ $150, I lost that sale because the names where sold to Ramster or at least I thought and was led to believe.

NY Jester... " He backed out of the deal...thats it. " you might want to look up some of those synonyms I posted as a few of them describe this transaction very well. Dont know how you can say I'm out nothing, sure $300 isnt huge but it certainly aint nothin now is it.

I think I have said all that needs to be said on this issue.

Mike

Ramster 2009-09-10 08:31 AM

Okay this is getting ridicules. You're stilling fucking crying about this??????????

First off I am not defending that I backed out of the deal, I did. Shit happens, move the fuck along. You sold some of if not all of the domains since.

Second.

YOU SOLD THOSE 2 DOMAINS!! You told me that at the end of the month when I was offering to now buy them. Since you sold them I decided not to buy the other 3 domains, the package deal was no longer there and as I told you those 2 domains were the main 2 I wanted to buy. Which is why I matched the offer of the "other" guy that offered $150 for them. If there really was some "other" guy you could have went back to him a few days later when I backed out and sold them to him. Which I assume you eventually did since you don't own the domains anymore.

I doubt that. Mike, you seem to be doing a LOT of whining over $300 worth of domains that most of you FUCKING SOLD ANYWAY

Stop calling me a scammer! I never stole the fucking thing from you!! I told you I'd buy some domains from you then I didn't buy them. I said sorry already, I apologized already and I do (did) feel bad about the whole deal. I backed out of the deal for my own personal reasons. That's it, end of story.

Now fuck off.
