ARS login problems...

Anyone else having problems logging in? My old bookmark doesn't work. When I load the main URL I sign in and it gives me 404 . Even when I tried to get an email for lost password that page went 404. They are still paying me via ePass though :D

I would like to be able to check where the sales are coming from though |huh

Greenguy 2006-03-24 09:18 AM

I just logged in via my referral code & it looks to be working.

Surfn 2006-03-24 09:29 AM

The last time it worked for me was over a month ago...

Like I said I even tried this http://adultrevenueservice.com/ and it returns a 404. When I try to login.

This http://stats.adultrevenueservice.com/ is the bookmark where I've logged in the last couple of years. Anywhoo I guess I'll just wait.

Cleo 2006-03-24 09:45 AM

Just logged in without any problem.

Simon 2006-03-24 09:49 AM

Loads fine for me too.

Surfn,

Do you have norton installed? Nortan likes to add our domain to your windows host file. Our site isnt down, and didnt have any downtime. Can you try another pc to rule out some issues? But check for spyware and norton first.

I don't use Norton. ARS is the only bookmark I can't use so I doubt it's this pc. I've run Spy Sweep many times routinely and it shows I'm not infected.

EvilFubAr 2006-03-24 02:57 PM

Well, I just logged into your account with no issues. Can you run a trace route for me then? You seem to be the only one having this issue, I do think its related to your pc or connection to ARS.

What ISP do you use?
and can you please paste to me what your windows host file reads?

This is what I get:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
See if your Internet connection settings are being detected. You can set Microsoft Windows to examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings (if your network administrator has enabled this setting).
Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
On the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.
Select Automatically detect settings, and then click OK.
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

Cannot find server or DNS Error

for more than 6 weeks now and only ARS no other link.

Surfn,

The hosts file (no extension) is located in the following folder

WinXP: Windows/System32/drivers/etc/

Win2K: WINNT/System32/drivers/etc/

And would that explain why this one site doesn't load?

Toby 2006-03-24 03:42 PM

yes, if the domain(s) you are trying to reach are included in that file.

There are several files and the one named hosts doesn't have ARS or the full name listed.

Toby 2006-03-24 03:59 PM

Too bad, that would have been a simple fix. :(

I could fix it if it were simple :D

Surfn, have you tried with a couple of different browsers, or are you just using the one where you have a bookmark saved?

I have no idea what difference that makes, but we always ask that question of everyone who has trouble accessing member content.

No I haven't. I don't think I should have to since every other bookmark and site that I review works fine. :D

Ok, Mozilla refused to connect. This is what I get in FireFox:

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at stats.adultrevenueservice.com.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Again the rest of my bookmarks work fine...

I've had a similar problem with FlashCash for over a year. If I go in by proxy I end up at "rhino.com" something.

BTW, this is the bookmark I use for the board and then go from there.

It did redirect me to the main login with the same end result.

I really don't need access other than to poke around my referrals.

Maybe you should delete every cookie possible relating to ARS. I remember on one of the upgrades over the years, I had to nuke every single one before something or other would work right again.
Not trying to be vague, I just forget what it was, lol! Was cookie related though in my case.

When I run a trace route to adultrevenuservice.com, it's timing out after [213.248.90.86]

EvilFubAr 2006-03-24 05:27 PM

Surfn,

Could you run a trace route and paste the results please?
