I thought he was ok overall. They tried going in a different direction. That's why Tenant and Smith are still my faves.

I have and it's hard to watch (for me). Very slow moving and super cheesy especially in the beginning. For the time I can see why it was popular but by todays standards, yikes. The shows did get better before they took that long hiatus.

I agree, but I actually ended up liking the 1st one - Christopher Eccleston - a lot more than I thought I would. They should've given him a 2nd season IMHO.

As mentioned in morning thread there is a new season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive and it's still very good with 2 episodes done.

Also, the first 2 seasons of Resident Alien is now on Netflix and this show just makes me |lol|
The 3rd season has started on SYFY which I can now start watching my recordings since I finished rewatching the first 2 again.

I do have to admit that I liked the S10 3-part story on the monks that needed consent, but I'm still not liking Doctor Disco |facepalm|

So I do LOVE the new female Doctor, but the storylines in S11 are kinda meh :(

Wasn't sure how you would feel so I made sure no spoilers :)

I was hit and miss with Jodie Whittaker as the doctor but I thought maybe it was because I just finished watching her in the series Broadchurch (starring David Tenant) which I really liked though you are right the storylines were meh. The other issue was that there were huge gaps between her becoming the Dr then the new season starting before getting a new season as COVID had hit. You get to binge it which I think would will be far better.

I will say that my wife liked her as the doctor so it really could be the Broadchurch connection for me. I hope the same does not happen with Ncuti Gatwa as he just finished the series Sex Education which I liked.

Watching the two of them in a different series would FUCK me up|lol|

Starting the final season tonight, then I can't wait to go back & watch the new ones so I can get all the references|lol|
