Web Feb 12, 2020 Not Too Bad

Morning. |coffee

Every day is an adventure. I never know how I will feel. How do I feel today? Not too bad. My body isn't aching and my ear ringing is minimal.

It's pretty much the same old for me today. I plan on doing some web work. This evening, I've got a play to go to but other than that it's the same old.

Have a good one! |escape|

Hello |waves|

It's pretty good weather outside and my GF has just been here for a short visit. She's better, which is good, of course.

Rest of the day will be work, but I can hear a nap calling |yawn|

|dog does not need any more walks until tonight.

May your day be good

Good morning |waves|

Work all day planned here with some errands to run as well so I'll be in and out all day.

Wife and I are trying to buy a cottage/house. It's 3 season on the river. 3 season meaning it's not winterized and not lived in right now, not lived in being key here! We plan to winterize it by adding a foundation and floor insulation and we'll do some interior renovations as well. The fucking owner is being a DICK. We wanted to close in April, he wants it near the end of May as he's an accountant and tax season is too busy for him to "clean the house/property out".
- keep in mind the house if NOT lived in
- there is ZERO on the property and inside there is a table, sofa and chair, 1 bed, 1 nightstand and 1 dresser. Other bedrooms are totally empty
-He countered with a price and close May 31. We countered agreeing to his price but bumping close up to May 21 (house is not lived in)
- we explained that I am in Europe May 27 - June 6 and we MUST close before I go away because we want to get the foundation work started so we can move in before July 1st
- he FUCKING re-counters with a June 6th closing |facepalm|

Agent calls me last night to say he's over whelmed and insists he needs time to remove everything from the property and June 6th is the earliest closing for him. REMOVE EVERYTHING? It's 1 FUCKING Uhaul, a Small Uhaul at that!! Plus he's not living there right now, he could go empty it tomorrow, or next week or next month or anytime in April! |huh

Looks like we're going to walk away, June 6 is a deal breaker. We have 4-7 weeks or work we estimate, the foundation is 2 minimum and we don't want to move in fucking August for a house on the river, we'd miss most of the summer |angry|

Morning! |waves|

My funk subsided a bit, but I do have a wake to go to this afternoon, so no telling how I'll feel after that.

My stepdaughter started a new job on Monday, which |facepalm|'s me 2 ways:
1 - The ASSIL now needs a ride to & from work on certain days
2 - She worked at my bank, which came with a lot of perks, like waived fees

Other than that...|escape|

I forgot to mention that the ASSIL wanted me to get him 4 presale tix to see The Rolling Uglies when they come here in June. Ticketmaster said to get there 10 min early, so I got there at 9:45 for the 10AM sale. When they went on sale, it said there were 2000+ people in front of me. It said that for 17 min, then it changed to 1835, 1572, 1259, etc. until about 10:23 it let me in to pick my seats...

$494+ fees (so $640ish) per ticket for floor (Sec B & D)
$354+ fees (so $450ish) per ticket for lower bowl (Sec 107-112; 133-138)
$94+ fees (so $125) per ticket for upper bowl (Sec 336) - I got him 4 of these (4th row aisle seats, so not all that bad)

I went back in after I bought those 4 to see what was left:

45 min after the PRESALE started, the blue sections still had seats. The grey were sold out.

Guns N Roses filled the lower bowl 2 years ago & that attendance was 35,000.

35,000 x $450 = $15.75 MILLION for the lower bowl & floor at a MINIMUM!

Figure another 30,000 seats in the upper bowl at $125 each = $3.75 MILLION

Easily $20 MILLION in ticket sales for ONE FUCKING CONCERT!!!

Good Afternoon :)

Got caught up this morning and ran an errand. I do have an appointment with the surgeon again in a couple of hours.

Other than that it's biz, tv/netflix and that's it.

Ramster,
Counter with an even earlier close and offer to move his stuff out with a $500 reduction in price to cover your time and uhaul rental. Can't hurt.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

I was thinking that or offer him an extra $1,000 and tell him that his crappy old shit is yours now and there's nothing to move!

MeatPounder 2020-02-12 03:33 PM

Ramster you have to take into account it's not just the sparse furnishings that have to be moved but also the bodies.

Ramster 2020-02-12 03:55 PM

THE BODIES!! Exactly what the wife said |lol|

We countered including the furnishings (original listing said it came furnished)
We also added he could keep the shed as is and store the contents until June 8th

We'll see, he has until the 15th. Anything short of Ok, we're walking
