I drive a '93 Mazda and the e-brake snapped today while sitting in my driveway.

My neighbor has a black one.

It's a fun ride, great seats. I love the way the roof folds into the trunk.

Sorry, it's getting near my bed time. ;)

I think he looks like Mr. Magoo so I would have to say kind of pale white.

Its funny how spoiled we are as Americans lol. I drive a Deawo. Cant even spell it and I dont want to. I had to tint the windows so no one can see me. LOL. Anyway when I talk about the dream Benz I want to my wife (Romanian hot chic) her comment to me is "why do Americans care about the cars they drive? If I drive a shitty $300 car and you drive a $300,000.00 car and we are going to the same place don't we both end there? And isn't that the point?" I tell her yeah but at least if mine (dream Benz) breaks down someone comes and fixes it while I sit in the nice leather with AC. She says "Oh and if I break down no one will stop to help me on a hot day?" I think about it and realize she has a very valid point. Cars are only status symbols for men lol we could care less if a hot girl is riding a Yugo. lol.

I sold my 85 Jag a couple of years ago and I miss that car dearly. With as much bad shit you hear about Jaguars, that car ran and performed really well. It was one of those cars that turned the heads of 40+ year old men, not beautiful women. But I've never bought a car with that in mind, even I am not that shallow. I just always loved the curvacious body of the 83-87 Jags. Once it becomes more financially reasonable, I'll get another one. It's not the type of used car you can drive or maintain cheaply.

I was always embarassed by the things I had and even more by the things that I didn't have. That's just part of being raised poor in America. I don't think other cultures concern themselves with 'stuff' the way we do here. Anyway, a few years ago, the wife and I started becoming more social, and it dawned on me that people didn't care what we had or didn't have. They just liked who we were as people. (The fact that we are willing to expose ourselves on occasion doesn't seem to hurt either.)

Nice ride :)

Special "Ed" 2005-07-31 11:05 AM

I really like those cars...I have a similar one. Check our website ;-) SL600

ArtWilliams 2005-07-31 02:19 PM

Just back from vacation. Nice car!

At the risk of being flamed, I'd like to suggest that women don't care about the car just the shoes they have on climbing out of it. A shopping spree ons shoe including a few pairs of Prada pumps would be much more appealing to my lady than a sl55 any day. For me, I'd take the car.

I swear to God, UW, you have a way with words at times I wish that I did..

When I was married the first time, I had Saabs, Volvos, and, more recently, a gorgeous Benz. After the divorce, I traded the Benz for a Jeep cause it was cheaper to maintain but to this day, I miss that damned car. But I also realize that I'm me without the car too..but..

John, it's a GORGEOUS car!! ++pant++
