Tablet looks interesting but personally I'm hoping that the rumor of a major update to the iPhone software is true.

Rumors are also that a paint program will be added to iWork and AT&T will loose its exclusive for the iPhone.

I'm actually more interested with the Android phones coming out.

I kind of doubt that Steve Jobs will be making any kind of Android phone announcement today.

Actually I'm a bit underwhelmed by the iPad. I was hoping for something that ran laptop applications too.

I wonder if the iPod Touch will now become the MiniPad.

As we always do, we will wait a year or so before we buy this, but I truly think this will go down as the worst ideas for a name since a bunch of homophobes started to call themselves "tea baggers"...

I guess there will be a market for it but it's not for me.

It may go down in history as the next best thing to the Mac Cube, Apple round mouse, and all the other less than great things Apple sometimes comes out with.

If it gains a lot of remote controlling programs... like a vnc program, apple remote desktop, remote desktop for pc stuff... It will really nice. It will most likely completely replace the need for me to bring my laptop around 95% of the time. also if I can vpn with it. I get that stuff on it and i'll be getting one. perfect for flying and watching movies on. I already think my macbook is too big most the time when I'm on a plane.

i need to check, but I believe there are already apps that do vnc and remote desktop for ipod/iphone. so those are already covered. I also already have an ssh program for my iphone so that's good to go. :)

I use VNC on my iPhone. Works real well but I do sometimes need to restart my iPhone to free up memory for it.

Yes, I know that. What I meant was I am more interested in anything non-Apple.

I am not impressed. To me, its just another gadget I wont be getting.

I think it will find uses in the classroom and in other vertical markets but it isn't what I was hoping for.
