Yahoo domains? Anyone use them?

I just saw an add that says you can register your domain name with Yahoo for $4.98 a year.

Anyone here use them for a registrar?

I use yahoo for some of my domains.

I trust their search to find if a domain is available. If it is avialable but i dont plan on buying right away I dont worry about their database flagging an interest in a name and then someone snatching it up before i get around to it. Dont know if this is something i really have to worry about elsewhere or not.

Also like how they suggest alternatives to the name searched too.

I used to use their hosting too. But they add counters to pages.

I have setup some sites using Yahoo domains, they are fine, no problems at all.

It costs them $6 per year to register the domain, so they must be recovering the shortfall somehow.

well i tried to renew a domain name using that $4.95 service and they took my money alright, but expected me to use there webhosting. I didn't want to pay there prices. |shocking|
