Dumb ass question!
 

Hello all new to this board... I have a dumb question... Tonight I started looking at listing my paysite on link list site. They all want recip. links.

This I don't understand? If I put 1000 recip. links my affiliates would have a shit fit. They hate traffic links!

So how do I get around this, & why don't link list owners just join my affiliate program and list the site?

you picked a quieter time to post, but don't fret, you always get an answer here when someone is around :)
You have a few options here for getting your paysite seen on LLs, first up, many LLs do just what you said, and will sign up to your program and list it with their affiliate code, if they think it will convert for them.
You can also build your own feeder sites which you can submit to the LLs, promoting your site.
You can also get other webmasters to join your program, and they in turn can build feeder sites to promote your paysite.

one other option that might work for you is to make an alternate tour of your paysite to submit to the link lists... that way your affiliates can still send their traffic to a clean tour |idea|

Yup, propose LLs to join your program, for those who don't, create & submit an alternate site with a recip and keep offering clean pages to your affiliates guaranteeing no leak of traffic ;-)
