I had given up!

Ok,
So, I had posted and posted to all sorts of tgp's, linklists, blogtrades, etc, etc, etc. I was getting a TON of traffic.............. but, no sign ups!

So, I had given up. I had just sort of stopped sending my site traffic. I walked away. And then, I actually got a check in the mail! Woo hooo!!! (this is since I dropped my own personal members area and decided to sell others).

I was ready to find out what my site would be worth if I were to sell it. :)

Anyways. I'm a bit more motivated now.

Love,
Jackie

Good to hear, keep working away :)

Jeffrey_L 2009-10-11 12:21 PM

That's more like it.

one word;
consistently

the key is not to stop again, because the more you stop..take breaks, etc the harder it is to keep constant traffic coming in.

FuckingBastard 2009-10-12 06:18 AM

i have this fucking problem too.Traffic is same like few months ago but sales drop with more than 90% and grow.My main sponsors sucks big time.
Right now i stop the webmastering and take a break few months to take care of my 6 cam models.I hope to start again as soon as it`s possible :)

terry 2009-10-12 08:45 AM

I agree, dont give up. "taking a break" or even missing one day of this will hurt you in the long run. Keep at it.

Ramster 2009-10-12 09:01 AM

I'd like to add I got into this business EXACTLY LIKE THAT!! I built a few free sites, submitted them to places and nothing so I mostly stopped. Then around 4 months later I got a check from Busty Amateurs for just under $30.... I was HOOKED, the rest is history ;)

kickass 2009-10-12 11:45 AM

So you actually didn't give up. :)

Well done and good luck, keep it up!

Amateur-SMB 2009-10-17 08:38 PM

Its not a matter of just giving up, its a matter of taking a small break and finding the right sponsor for the traffic you are sending. Remember to keep in mind the traffic you are sending and make sure you are sending it to the right place for better conversions. If you keep sending amateur traffic to a HD site - conversions probably will not happen.

I would also say not to ignore search engine potential - people searching on Google are motivated to find a certain subject, where as your TGP visitor may not be, so dont ignore traffic from natural search - SEO is relevant for adult sites.

Never Give up! Porn has its strange ways but always pays! (exept for scammers)

Hi jacklyn, congrats for your first sale :)
I hardly found any pictures of you on your website... is it on purpose? like if the surfer must actually find them, if any, and he will eventually click one of your sponsors?

pornneighbor 2009-12-30 10:29 PM

Hey! Well, after all the time I am putting into this...

Well, afterreading your post, I feel like there may be hope for me after all. I bought the domains pornneighbor.com and lustchest.com and started building, but nothing.. Hopefully though, things will happen! Good luck to you Jaclyn

Thanks again! I'll let you know that this months check doubled from the month before! So, there is HOPE! I realized that I prefer ccbill, simply because they pay whether it's $12.00 or $100. And they pay twice a month. After further investigation, what has been happening, is, on my site, I have all of these other sponsors, and I have like $20 sitting there in one, and $25.00 in another. They don't actually send a check until you hit $100. SO......... I had been making sales, just not getting the checks.

And, no, there are not alot of photos of myself on the site. I use all my photos for TGP's. I guess I could post my TGP's on my blog once a month and send them to a sponsor? Any ideas are welcome! :)

I used to run a members area, so, I really have a ton of content. I'm just not interested in keeping that up anymore. Besides, I'm not a huge company, I think I will make more off the affiliates, and let them worry about being hacked, stolen content, lawyers, 2257, blah, blah, blah.

Love,
Jax
