Coming back to the board
 

Hi all
So since GG gently put the boot into me for not posting here often I thought I'd better say a proper hello again here. Because it has been a while since I did so. I have dropped by for an occasional read of the threads but haven't posted.

I must admit, Facebook and Twitter has somewhat replaced message boards for me and also I've been fairly flat out for more than six months with site building. Me and Wordpress have become very good friends indeed. Meanwhile, Google broke up with me a little bit but we've been through that before and I'm hoping it will come around.

It's been a *really* long time since I made an old-fashioned free site. I'm wondering if I should maybe try again although perhaps the rules have changed (?). But then it feels like everything in the game has changed. I have no idea how to make a free site compete with Tumblrs that are chock full of free pics... or the tube sites. I'm actually about to do an experiment with PornHub (despite the sick feeling of betrayal it gives me) to see if any sales can be made from it.

Also, I wonder if I should change my name on the board. I'm going by Ms. Naughty now and have for ages. My Ms Naughty cartoon is much nicer looking than old Grandma :)

Google is a faithless fickle bitch. She used to make me second from the top for "sorority initiations" with quotes, and sixth without quotes. Nowadays, she rarely even mentions me when someone asks for "sorority initiations".

It's all or nothing with me, either top tens or absolute last page, thoroughly penalised. This time around it's the latter, not sure how to fix it or whether I should just sit it out until G changes again. Still got a few rankings for other newer sites here and there.

But to see the top 100 results of my favourite search term all now linking to a total of 3 tube sites: heart breaking.

I still do free sites as does people submitting to my LL. Just another way to get traffic. Besides sending traffic to my sponsors it also builds traffic to my network of blogs. If you aren't doing free sites in addition to your other stuff then you are leaving money on the table.

It was a bastard trying to find a winterized RV in Canada. We've ended up with a behemoth because they don't come in small sizes. I'm really hoping all the insane snowstorms will be done by the time we get there.

We arrive in Toronto March 24, then tootle around for a week and a bit. Easter meant we had to arrive early otherwise the airfares would have been double.

I'm sure I'll enjoy the pool hall. :P

You should come to South Florida instead. We have totally flat ground with no waterfalls, sand, salt water, giant bugs and in the summer temps and humidly that causes strange fungal infections and occasional hurricanes.

Cleo, would love to come to Florida... that's going to have to be another trip. The US is so big, we only saw a tiny bit of it in July. We started musing about buying an el-cheapo RV and spending a few months there if we could working and travelling... although now I'm started this new site I need to spend time on that.

I'm hoping to avoid phlegm if at all possible.
