Hope it's ok to post this - Asking for Paypal funds for Paxum

I've had nothing but trouble with Paxum, the latest debacle has had a couple of hundred dollars in limbo somewhere after trying to withdraw it via EFT. Initially tried withdrawing at the end of June, it's now a week into August and I still haven't got any answers as to why, nor any helpful comments except "they are working with their processor".

Anyway, I am paying off $50 per month to an old host, however they don't accept Paxum. I have $51.75 in my USD Paxum account, and $8.95 in my AUD Paxum account.

Would anyone be willing to send me $50USD to my PayPal account in exchange for the current balance of my Paxum account?

I notice a few other threads about people leaving the biz on the main page here. It's a sad state of affairs in adult, isn't it. If only we all turned our sites into tubes, wasted gigabits of badwidth and gave away the cow for free maybe we'd all be raking in the dough. Oh, wait..

P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread.

PM me if you'd be willing to help.

Cheers,
JK

Never had any problems with Paxum, hope this works out for you.

I requested a withdraw on 08/01 and got a confirmation on 08/05 (monday after the weekend).

Maybe they just hate Australians, or me.

lol... No. There's been many people who have and still have problems with Paxum. It's really no different than with other companies. Some have good experiences, others don't.

It does suck what you are going through. I'd be pissed getting jerked around like that. A couple of hundred dollars isn't like just dismissing $20.

I refused to get a Paxum account simply because I live in the Montreal area and when I looked at their business address, it is a place where you can rent mailboxes. Then when I asked if I could stop by their place of business to check things out, I got the run around from a rep. I had to schedule an appointment first. I couldn't just go in and make an appointment with someone. I had to call someone and schedule a meeting. Well, sorry, but there are places in the city where one can rent out temporary office space by the hour or day in respectable parts of the city. I just simply didn't really get a good feeling about how things went in the beginning. I'm supposed to trust my money with these people and I can't even verify an actual place of business.

I know sponsors felt the pressure by affiliates to sign on with Paxum, but for me, I can cash a check, receive a wire or worse case scenario, receive Paypal from a sponsor. I didn't need Paxum, so I passed. They may have improved things, like actual office space where one can visit, but I can't be bothered with them at this time.

Oh... and lets not forget that Paxum is operated by the penis pills guys. It's not like they are in the actual banking / financial industry. I'm going to trust my money to people who made / make tons of cash to modern day snake oil salesman... yeah... really doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence...

Oh don't get me wrong, it's not the amount of money that I'm complaining about. I've lost a lost more from my wallet, spent more in a night at a pub, lost a shit load more gambling and factors of 10 more from sponsors going bust.

My main problem with Paxum is the fact that they have always, to me, been a very difficult company to deal with from the very beginning, I won't go into specifics because it isn't necessary, but they have left a very bad impression on me and the last 2 attempts at getting my money out of them has completely ruined their reputation in my eyes. If I made any money in adult any more, I'd make sure that none of my money ever went near them again.

My main beef is the fact that the last 2 times I have attempted to withdraw my money, I've been screwed around like this. Last time, I opted to use their offline wire transfer method (since my funds didn't disappear from my account after trying to withdraw the money like this time). This was at a cost of $50 (I think) instead of the $8.95 for EFT. This was after waiting over a week for some kind of reason as to why my EFT transfer didn't happen. Miraculously, the problem was fixed the day after I received the money into my account, this could have been a coincidence, but I'm a paranoid person by nature and it really pissed me off.

This time, they have taken the money from my Paxum account so I cannot even do an offline transfer.

The support are great at replying without any substance, or actual help. We are working on it. We have sent it to our processor. We will let you know in this ticket when we know more.

I went through hell with Paxum, and I am not really sure if I want to keep it or not. My passport and Texas Drivers License are in one name, my Finnish ID is all in my new married name. I have supporting documents to show the whole mess. For the first 6 months I had the account, they flat refused to do anything except send a check to the street address on my Texas DL. Nice, but there is no mail box or delivery to that address, and well, I haven't lived there for 2 years. Never mind that I have Finnish government-issued documents that show my new legal name and residence. It finally took yet another 2 months of haggling and sending everything yet again including the bank application showing all of my IDs and names before they would send me a check. Things are finally square, but they are far from my favorite company these days.

Sad... I wish I could help... Sorry!

Hey you're still around :) I'd do a transfer for you, but don't have any paypal right now.

JK 2013-08-20 07:33 AM

If by around, you mean still alive, then yes.

Other than that, I have no adult sites left, no desire to return at present and in fact, I am sick of being stuck in front of a glaring monitor for days on end. I want to do something else, but I have no idea what.

I feel like a younger person, wondering which classes to choose in order to find that one truly satisfying job. If only I could get paid for sitting on a boat, drinking beer and fishing while the football is being broadcast on my phone. Why aren't there classes for that?

HowlingWulf 2013-08-20 11:29 AM

JK if you have a boat why not charter fishing trips for wandering tourists? Double bonus.

JK 2013-08-20 09:09 PM

Unfortunately the boat would need to provided by the wandering tourists. Not sure how many would jump at that opportunity.

So you send me $59.58 via Paxum & I send you $50.00 via PayPal?

If so, PM me |shake|

An update on the Paxum situation in case anyone is interested, I sent a message to the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) - since they have a mailing address in Canada. I've also noticed they use an American court and are based in Belize, but it was the first avenue I tried.

One day after making this complaint - I get an email saying they have sorted out the issue with their processor and (again) said that they have sent my money. Let's see if I actually get it this time.

Totally over Paxum, it shouldn't be so difficult to get money that is owed to you, especially when you're paying them so generously for their services.
