Thursday May 24th (aka Why Am I Awake?)

(Way Too Early) Morning! |waves|

I must've been having a dream that today was really important because I woke up about 30 min ago very eager to get up & start the day |banghead|

I see Ovechkin & Washington made the Stanley Cup Finals in |hockey| I also see that the NHL is making us wait 5 days for the finals to start |crazy|

The Bitch & I made a dent in the garage yesterday & we now at least know where 95% of our crap is. I also cleared a path to run an ethernet cord to my office, but I ran out of gas, so that's on the agenda for today.

Morning. |coffee

One of the techs at the pest control company had a heart attack so the work is being put off until Friday. Allergies are in full force making my ear ringing crappier so I am just going to lie low today.

Have a good one. |thumb

Gonna take a break from unpacking boxes. Today's task du jour is updating my mailing address across all my various accounts, foreign, domestic, income, expense, and anything else I forgot.

Good Morning :)

It's that time of the month where I do all my bills and I am so excited to do them :(

After this it will be a trip to the post office, yes I still write checks and mail them because I believe they help keep jobs alive at least for the time being.

Other than this I'll be working so Enjoy Your Thursday!

I spent the better part of 2 days doing that about 2 weeks ago & almost every day I come across one I missed. Changing all the affiliate accounts was really fun|lol|

I can count on my fingers & toes the number of checks I've hand written in the last 20 years. I remember Citibank was one of the 1st to have online banking & you had to disconnect from your dial-up & connect directly to them via their program, which looked like it was designed based on Notepad :) But my point on all this is that the checks still get mailed via the USPS & you don't have to pay for postage |thumb Take off that tinfoil hat & join us in the 2000's |couch|

Try living in a place that doesn't even have paper checks anymore, and hasn't had for at least 7 years that I know of. I remember my mom sending me a paper check when I first arrived here. We took it to the bank, and the cashier looked at it, looked again, examined it from all sides, had to go get a manager who did the same thing. Neither one had ever seen a paper check. We are totally electronic here in Finland. And no, our payments are not mailed. Here we can do direct transfers to the various companies. They give us all the banking info and we set up the payments direct. Much nicer and faster too. No postal service involvement!

Thankfully, I did the online banking thing when my bank in Texas first started with it. I could sit down and schedule my payments out and not even have to worry about finding a stamp or remembering to mail the dang thing. Add the electronic deposits, and I was a happy camper.
