Site Migrations
I've had to up my blog network and move it to another host, before I get started wanted to see if all my ducks line up as the last time I tried there were error. If anyone has expertise, I welcome you input.
1/ Set up my database in new host 2/ FTP my site 3/ Change the name of my back-up DB and import I'm moving from Direct Admin to cPanel, I'm certain there will be server specific directory titles or code I will have to change, but not certain where. There are all Wordpress blogs by the way, and some site have two databases contained within'. The cPanel spoke of transferring using a .bak file, which I'm not familiar with. I'd like to assume the sql.zip should do the trick. Any advice before I get started? I have over ten site to migrate, so I'm hoping to get it right from the start. Grazi |
At the end change the DNS's at your registrar.

At least, I can say, if you've never worked with cPanel, I personally love it. I did the same transfers with about 50 of my WP blogs, and everything went smooth. I just re-pointed and boom, all was cool. |

Didn't do the .bak file, never researched on how to make it. |
